Maybe Sony bought them to stop MS?
We heard a couple of weeks ago that Microsoft was in talks with Bungie. But talk is cheap.

I think Destiny 3 could happen since they might want to drop last gen.

They don't need to launch a new game to drop off last gen they can just stop new content coming to it we have seen many PC games upgrade graphics and other technical things such as FFXIV dropping PS3 so they could improve things that held it back and like they will probably do with PS4 in 2 years for the next expansion.
For the OP vote: I really want a Battle Royale in Halo :)
I know it is the trend and bla blah but the mode is just fun and in Halo, with the shield and 1v1 being more tactical, it could lead up to something pretty fun.
I liked Warzone, but the main issue is that unless you are getting a big team (grouped), this is a bit too chaotic and it can be difficult to make the difference and feel rewarded at the end.

When does this acquisition become final? If it’s before June 2023 then yea it probably helps MS.

Don't try to pass off other people's thoughts on Discord as your own, you little rascal

Also they have a deal with MS for Destiny 2 being in gamepass so they probably couldn’t stop supporting it.
Waste of money for Sony imo, remember that the very same clauses that get were bought for was the reason why it was rumored why MS couldn’t come to a deal, Remain independent and no exclusivity plus over 2 billion.
This does nothing for me imo since CoD is way bigger and now has a better chance of staying exclusive outside of Warzone which makes much more revenue than Destiny.
My guess is that they wanted something that can get them guaranteed revenue year after year.
Very happy to see that it's only Bungie and not someone I care for.
I played a grand total of 4 hours of Destiny + Destiny 2 combined and that's all they were able to do in the 11 years since Halo Reach.
Their next project is expected to launch by 2025 so hey, PS5 can get one game at max this gen and that might even be multiplat.
Also you would be insane to make a multiplat deal involving only Destiny or whatever Bungie's future IP is and CoD. Not only is CoD worth far more than everything Bungie could produce, there are also way more CoD games coming out than Bungie games. 1 Bungie game is not worth 4 or 5 CoD games. To make it a fair deal, Sony needs to offer way more.
Rumors now that Sony could buy a publisher, i really hope that it isn’t Capcom.
