I already have Project Cars 2 and Fable Aniversary. But Fable Aniversary is physical so I will download it again.

True plus Fable Anniversary didn't run that great on the 360 so I am going to give it another try on the X1 even though I got most of the achievements for it already.

Don't recall it being particularly bad on 360? But that was many years ago when I played it... It was Unreal Engine 3.0 powered which was generally a good performer on Xbox 360... I got a copy on PC at the same time (naturally) in conjunction with the Xbox 360 version so my memory could be skewed. Then again... The 7th gen was notorious for bad framerates anyway.
This pretty much now leaves the OG Xbox version of Fable as the only Fable game not on Games with Gold so far.

I didn't see an option on the main menu, nor did I see a new NPC on the outpost islands that allows you to re-pick your character or edit your current character (beyond clothing and hair I mean). Come on Rare, why do you hate me so much? |
There is a chance to re-roll your character but it costs real money unless you're lucky enough to kill an ancient skeleton. Those spawn randomly.
And Outpost will never become safe zones and they shouldn't, it would be game breaking. You were very unlucky to spawn next to another ship, never happened to me.
Try to find a friend to play with, it's not much of a solo game. And git gud before asking for changes, please ;)
edit. Oh and those appearance change bottles are sold upstairs of Order of the Souls buildings. By a parrot or a monkey while you're at it!
2nd edit. You should be able to collect as many cages as you need for Merchant Alliance voyage. If not, just pick a new voyage. But I never got that glitch.

Guys I assume you've all played them but Kotor and Kotor 2 are both dirt cheap in this sale. Likely to run butter smooth on the Xbox One.

Damn, I'll have to spotify that either on the way to work or on the way home...
Lockheart news?

I wouldn't say butter smooth, but they're huge improvements over the original. KOTOR 1 got XB1 enhanced, which includes higher resolution (960p on XB1 and 1920p on XB1 X). However, it fails to hit 60 fps alot of the time on both S and X, which causes some frame-time stutter issues, though you're still looking at about double the framerate of the original game in addition to the resolution boost, which is nice for sure. KOTOR 2 performs better, it not only has the enhanced resolution (960p on XB1 and 1920p on XB1 X), it had a 30 fps frame cap originally, and XB1 and XB1 X are able to hit 30 fps most of the time, leading to a locked, smooth framerate. Xbox Series X should finally be able to get them both up to a locked framerate, so you can buy them now and play them on Series X later if you're worried about framerate. |
MS is constantly patching BC games to increase performance.
These comparisons were made shortly after the games became compatible with Xbox One. Not sure if they are still accurate.
