Not sure what I'd pick up in the sales, might get XCOM 2 Collection. I finished it on PS4 last-gen, but never had the DLC. Might get bioshock collection too, never played them.

I think I've almost completed FH5... too many games not enough time.

Yeah I just went through the whole list and that was the only game I'm considering since I haven't played any of the DLCs.

The Gold editions of the (inofficial) Ubisoft next gen trilogy (AC: Valhalla, Watch Dogs Legion and Immortal Fenyx Rising) are still too expensive for me.

I finished Watch Dogs and enjoyed it, but dropped Watch Dogs 2 after about 2-3 hours so not sure if I'll ever give Legion a chance. AC Odyssey is in my backlog so will have to get round to that before I start thinking about Valhalla, but yeah all those games are a bit too expensive for me atm, I'm a cheapskate.

Grubb described the world like Far Cry but without all the junk, I can't help but still be a bit worried though as they've only played the first four hours, what Eurogamer spoke about is one of my main worries, I think the world as it is looks nice enough, especially the art-style (also that skybox is amazing) but there's a lack of variety concern.

Digital Foundry complained about it recently, that the only environment they've seen is the Pacific Northwest one and they hope to see more but 343 has already confirmed that's the only biome in the game, no snow, no desert, even no rain (at launch) so if that has already hit Eurogamer then I imagine it will hit other reviewers too by the end of the game.

However, those impressions overall for now are pretty positive, especially about the gameplay, so we'll see. It was cool when the invisible Elite attacked him and he was sorta ambushed and the enemy dialogue is awesome, Lol. Grubb also showed off the entire map. Those boss fights actually look challenging, the Elite in particular with the constant active camo and sword, makes using the threat sensor almost vital.

Are we not getting tired of the the same biodomes all the time.  Snow, desert, forest.  Why does a game really have to have a bunch of these same type of environments instead, all I really care about is the game being fun with what they do have.  Really do not need to see another desert and snow filled environment just because and would love actually if Halo ventured to a more alien aspect sort of like how Guardians of the Galaxies does.  Oh well, I am not wasting my time reading any of these previews, since I already will be playing the game and do not need any spoilers to my experience.  I rather go into the game with the only expectation of enjoying myself.

There's a massive spoiler in GameRiot's Infinite video (and Colts)...Avoid them.

Apparently they cut one but there's still multiple other major spoilers...

343 said they'd be no spoilers but it seems journalists aren't listening well, Lol.

You watch Culteastwood unironically, you deserve to be spoiled. Not even gonna hold you on that.

The previews have all been very positive but it's hard to guess how this game will review.

Will it being $60 for just the campaign negatively impact it as the multiplayer is F2P? Will the multiplayer being F2P and thus full of microtransactions impact it?

I feel like if the game was still just a $60 for the campaign+multiplayer and there was no microtransactions or paid battlepasses it would review better.

Not to mention co-op and forge being so heavily delayed from the initial release. It's hard to know if these issues will have a big impact on reviews or if they'll not affect them at all.

Tbf Halo has always had varied biomes, from way back in CE.

Halo Rings are made to replicate the conditions to create life too, so there's a logical aspect to it as well. Like I will still have a lot of fun but I won't lie and say I ain't disappointed that Infinite is all Pacific Northwest with a few minor sub-biomes (such as war-torn which we've seen in the trailers). Things like snow and rain can also add to the atmosphere too.

When you ask if we're getting tired of the same biodomes all the time, I think it can also be applied to Infinite, it may become tiring to see the same Pacific Northwest throughout the entire length of the Campaign so it is a concern of mine but we'll see.

Also these previews are very positive, Lol.

I say throw those concerns away and go into each game with the only concern of enjoying yourself.  When you start to look for a bunch of stuff and it does not happen, you already set yourself up to be disappointed and might lose focus on what the game does right, then what you did not get.  I know Infinite will not be perfect or close to it.  I do not care what score it gets or if it makes any die hard Halo fan happy, I just want to enjoy the experience and that is pretty much what I will judge the game by.

Don't know where Famitsu got numbers for worldwide sales because I've never seen them say anything about them before but according to them:

Forza Horizon 4 sold 12m units worldwide.
Xbox One has shipped 49.89m units worldwide.

That is phenomenal sales for Forza, though I wouldn't bet FH5 sales will be higher due to gamepass adoption being as widespread as it is right now. It would have been at like 5m subscribers or less when FH4 launched and now we're at what? 25m or more?

To hell with this.. the only concern/expectation of enjoying yourself is what a lobotomized casual would say lol.

If you're a fan of a franchise, genre of music etc it means you once found something deeper in it that goes far beyond enjoyment. Of course it makes you have expectations and concerns and ultimately there will be disappointments too but you wouldn't have it any other way.

Its the reason why I do not bitch about games.  I have way to much going on with my life to waste it bitching about what a game does or does not have but instead just play games to enjoy the experience.  If I do not enjoy it, I just move on.  I absolutely do not care if a game sequel is the same or totally revamp into something different ala God of War.  I remember a lot of bitching about the game before it released about how much it was not like the previous series and even though I loved the previous series, I am always happy to see Devs willing to take big risk and do something different.  Most times it end in failure but at least they did what they wanted and was given the freedom.

Fans hold Devs back, always complaining when something doesn't play like they expected but then again always bitching that it plays the same.  Devs never really win in this situation so I believe they should follow exactly what they want to do as a team and execute it to the best of their ability.  If that means alienating the fans that only want another game doing the same thing over and over, so be it.
