I don't see anyone talking about this game on this site. I didn't want to be the one to make the thread because the game deserves screenshots, videos, etc. and I don't really make posts like that anymore. If somebody makes a better thread, I'll gladly lock this one

Anyway, I'm playing on Xbox One X and the game looks and plays incredibly well. I don't want to use hyperbole but it's definitely in the running for the best looking game I've personally ever played. After YEARS of disappointment with the last two games, The Coalition has NAILED IT.

And a special shout-out to Gamepass Ultimate. It's crazy that I get to play a game of this caliber days before it hits retail along with over a hundred other games--many of which I was already on the fence about buying --for $15 a month...and I don't even start paying for it until March of next year!

Great News. Enjoy the game.

Funny that not even a metacritic thread was made.

From what I understand it was generally well recieved.
I think the fact that xbox has been abit lacking in exclusives and that It finally got a game that looked up to pair, ment reviewers were abit more generious with scores.

That said yeah... hype on vgcz didnt seem that big for it.
I think that boils down to how they marketed it, tbh.

After logging in about 6 hours of campaign, I have to say the crowbcat video is just trolling. Yeah, there's a couple of examples of things the older games did better but there's probably hundreds of examples of things Gears 5 does better. I'm actually impressed at his ability to make anything look bad!

Crowbcat is always a good watch. Also, didn't MS promise all 1st party games would be native 4K when the Scorpio came out? What happened to that?

Don't remember the promise, but 180 have been common this gen.

I hope the responses showed you why there’s no thread on the game, lol.

I do not believe MS ever made a claim that all first party games will be native 4K.  It would be good if you can find that bit of info but I did some searching and could fine nothing.

They didn’t. Per usual, people are on some bullshit. Shannon Loftis did say Microsoft’s own titles launching during the Scorpio window would be native 4k. Which afaik they delivered on. Someone can prove me wrong though.

Yeah, it's just nitpicking to fit a narrative. Unfortunately positive videos don't bring as much views.
