Not sure. Scarlett and the PS5 seem almost identical. So unless they bring something to the table that makes Scarlett stand out, people are going to pick the console which has the best exclusives. Looking at this gen, it's pretty obvious that Sony dominates in that department. But who knows, maybe their new studios can cook up some amazing things that will change my mind.

I'm taking wait and see approach.

First of all, we still know nothing about Scarlett and what's MS plan for next gen. Second, I think that for me personally it will depend on system's overall popularity and therefore developers and retailers support. There is already not a good sign for Xbox on retail front in my region. If it gets even worse next gen, I think I'll pass on Scarlet no matter how good it will be.

Well if you want the most possible support, I think you stick with PlayStation.

I'm sure Scarlett will do fine with AAA support, indie support, and there was talk about MS seeking more support from Japan. If MS really improves 1st party output that could also move hardware.

Its also worth considering the xCloud could increase Xbox's userbase thus encouraging support, assuming it lives up to expectations. Its possible people won't even need to buy hardware to access the entire library of X1 and Scarlett. That would make it easily the best cloud gaming service and would likely rely on software sales, XBL Gold and Gamepass for revenue.

I'm super excited. This generation has brought some fantastic games and the service of back-compat, I believe MS will only build upon this in the next generation. The value I get from a new console right now is so strong that it's a no-brainer for me. And I get to play the new Halo 🙂.
