US journalists rarely put politicians to task because of the culture of access journalism, this can hide from public view valuable information about their politicians character and policies

In Australia Journalism is far more ruthless

Ruthless?

Come to Europe because that was pretty tame. But yeah, even tame is better than lapdog as in the US...

Biden is embarrassingly incompetent in this debate, hard to watch

Bernie would have done so much better with his sharper intellect and convictions.. very frustrating to watch

Trump did very poorly in the debate. Too agressive and interrupting all the time. Also was unable to explain the immense danger of critical race theory to the American people when given an extraordinary chance, which is the crucial subject of this whole election.

Biden was sharper than I think most had expected and also more sympathetic.

Things look dark right now.

Your analysis is ridiculous. It has nothing whatsoever to do with dictatorship or a culture of police violence.

The police have commanded streets to be empty, and they have the right to do so.

Some protesters don't comply,.

One guy on purpose lies on the ground to block bicycle police, and he is fully aware that he lives in a democratic nation and that American police treat people with respect and that the risk of injury is minimal.

One of the policemen quickly notices that the man has a helmet and rides his bike (which is very light) over his helmet, fully aware that it cannot cause any injury. He was probably irritated at the protesters and made this in a humorous manner in front of his colleages.

Being upset at this kind of incident just proves how detached from reality all this anti-police criticism is.

Talking about yourself?

Seriously, what the fuck? Suggesting it was done "as a joke"? Not only is that ridiculous, but that would actually be worse than if he had been trying to hurt the guy!

I am trying to analyze the situation and people's behaviour psychologically.

I think a reasonable guess is that he very quickly made the decision to ride over the light bike over the guy's helmet in a joking manner, fully aware that his collegues would see it. Yes, it's a bit ridiculous. Kind of make a statement, to send a signal, that "I see that you're lying on the ground on purpose asshole, knowing full well that US police won't actually hurt you. Stop that silly show. I see what you're up to and that doesn't fly with me".

It's not particularly professional, but it's human. And not a grave violation. And it certainly is no sign of a dictatorship or police violence, like was claimed.

Tell that to the people who the police have assaulted or murdered...

Trump did have a poor debate, should have been a walk in the park for a competent debater, saying Biden was sharper than expected makes this even more depressing for me

What is the meaning of those debates again ,how is a dumb show like that important to decide on who's the best candidate?

Who else got an impression of the debate being bratty spoiled child vs geriatric old guy?

Like orangutan and chimpanzee throwing their feces at each other. Couldn't base to watch it more than 20 minutes..

Yeah, was also hard for me to stomach the "discussion". At least Biden tried to stay calm and collected. Trump felt more like a cornered animal trying to make it's last stand with his constant sneers, attacks and nonsense.
