Forums - Nintendo Discussion - LABO VR Kit - Video Overview released

My kids still have not finished the robot kit, aint going there no more.

Plus that looks really uncomfortable, holding the thing up to your face while operating the joy-cons. Any slight movement of the headset makes things blurry, dumb idea, nvm the low resolution and I assume max 60hz of the display.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned yet that this seems to be the end result of that patent that was discovered late 2016

https://www.theverge.com/2016/12/15/13969176/nintendo-switch-vr-headset-accessory-patent

In any case, I don't see this having any effect on the success or failure of VR, specially given that it won't sell much (millions), but it can change how Nintendo approaches VR in the future.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I think... people are overacting over this...

Labo is just another fun way to use your Switch. It won´t hurt anyone and Nintendo may get some profit.

So Nintendo of Nintendo to do this, and I love it.

People are pissed now? Imagini it outsells PSVR then you will see angry people =p

In before the "only outselling because of Japan" posts.

So which of these Labo VR Kits is best for VR porn? The elephant? The blaster?

On one hand VR is not worth pursuing, but on the other hand a project like this means that Nintendo has tried and doesn't get the stupid idea to make a bigger investment in VR.

Pretty much how I feel. I don't like VR so hopefully this doesn't perform super well and they don't invest any more in it.

What else is new, LABO has evoked overreactions since its very first reveal, lulz.

The bird. You can clearly see the boy on the lower left using the power of VR to oogle its anus and from the look on his face he's enjoying doing so.

Bet with Liquidlaser: I say PS5 and Xbox Series will sell more than 56 million combined by the end of 2023.

Personally, I'm happy that the VR turned out to be some some little side project, and not Nintendo actually wasting millions in development resources on full fledged VR. That would be waste of time and money.

Besides, I always wanted to put my head inside a bird's ass.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I'm sure someone has told you this before, but this is kind of a terrible attitude to have.

Hoping that something fails, just because you don't like something, well, it's not great.

What's terrible about not wanting your company of choice to invest heavily into something that offers no value to you? It's only natural for a consumer to want companies to make things that they want and care about.

I don't have a problem with LABO VR as its a relatively harmless side gig that itself consumes little resources. Heck, I don't even want it to fail per se, I just wouldn't want it to become a breakout success and for Nintendo to get the idea of making their next system the Virtual Boy 2 or something.
