While I don't think the numbers will that big on forza 2 alone, I do think that forza 2 and trusty bell combined will move enough units through promos, bundles, and other creative marketing to put MS neck in neck in weekly sales for a short period of time. That doesn't help MS, though, as they need to make up quite a bit of ground AND surpass by a significant number to just get to even with the PS3. I don't see that happening in Japan unless more games continue to arrive for the 360 before the PS3 because of delays and the Japanese consumer finally turns on Sony. Probability of that scenario? 5-10% IMHO.

yeah, x360 atleast once should outsell ps3, because in future it will never have another chance to do that. =) well, if it won`t, then the last chance will have trusty bell. so when the hardware numbers will be out? =)

Official numbers won't be out until mid-next week, usually wednesday. Should be an interesting week, no doubt.

Okay, I had to find a wi-fi access to post this (for some reason, my home log-in isnt working). Gamasutra's numbers are faker than a porn star's boobs. Gamasutra gets their numbers from each Amazon.com for each title. TOEIC Test DS is a 8 week old game that sold 5,000 copies last week according to VGChartz. There's no way (or atleast very little chance that) the game will get #2 for the week. Don't get me wrong, I hope Im wrong, but the fact is, GS is dumb when it comes to sales data. Having said that, according to Vinnk's Village report, 2 of the 5 retailers he vists didn't even ORDER Forza 2 for sale! The ones that did order it have sold moderately well on the game. In good news, though, Vinnk did say it looked like the PS3 kiosks would be playing demos of Trusty Bell in a week or so (videos of TB, not the game itself). IMO, if Forza2 only ends up with 15k, it's official that the J-gamers have absolutely no taste in videogames whatsoever. I would hope that somewhere along the line, the 360 owners realize they've made a huge mistake not having F2 in their library. I dont understand how a game like RIDGE RACER 6, the suckfest that it is, could even think about selling better. Hopefully, when TB launches (since it seems to have actual hype surrounding it), new 360 owners will/should pick up F2.

Thanks for clearing up where GS gets their data.  I didn't read it carefully enough I guess.  Your last point is more what I was thinking -- that is TB I suspect will launch both individually and as a "combo" or something so that the game is technically free or close to it.  If that moved a number of units -- say 5-10K more than usual over a 2-week period, some of those would come back to F2 since it does appear to be a solid game.  I guess we'll see...

There is a media create sales thread go read it and it shows the 360 actually sold less than usual this week and PS3 pretty much the same level... AKA- Forza didn't do much at all for 360 sales.
