oh man, bradlod already said it but you are minutes away from the core of the game starting. One of the coolest moments by far.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

The only real flaw the game had was lack of character development for most of its over populated cast. The story itself was very deep, and screw you haters, it fit nicely with the story of the game before it, Chrono Trigger. Just because it was what some fans did not want, does not make it any less amazing! LoD was a great game, but I lost interest over half way through. You know what game did keep me drawn in? CHRONO CROSS! And that sir, is all I have to say about that! |
Yes, one of my top games too, playing it on my PSP was one of the best gaming experiences for me. If I had to choose a game world to live in, it would probably be CC.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

Then I guess I go back to it.

I was joking, you have a good excuse then.

I actually really like how people's opinions differ on games like these. For me The Legend of Dragoon is easily one of the best games ever made. I've played it through several times over the years, and its one of the games that I can go back and play pretty much any time I feel like it and never get bored of it. Still, I can understand that not all people are going to share that opinion, and I don't mind that. There are a lot of games that other people like that I could never get into as well after all.

Your signature is good Rose is the only character I liked. Again I can see how the game could get rabid cult, myself I love The Granstream Saga a game that probably deserves 5.0-6.0 scores but flaws and all I find it one of my fave games ever. LoD at the time it was released was an above average RPG with superb production values which is why metacritic in its heyday wasn't kind either. With a good conscience I can't say that it was better than Chrono Cross but that's my opinion. |
Dude I tought I was the only person on Earth that loved that game. I have so many fond memorys of it.

You are the only person aside from myself that I have ever met that has played it lol That game has something, maybe the combination of real-time 3-D action combat, the sweet anime cutscenes or the actual reincarnation story concept that has you choosing between Arcia and Laramee at the end. I really loved that game.

I played and reviewed the game here, if you care to look over my threads to find it. Pretty sure I gave it a 9.5 or a 9. The thing is, 9.5 to LoD is a freaking huge gap, lol. FFIX I gave a 10, that thing is magical, but even a 10 doesn't come close to LoD xD (thought I still consider it a masterpiece) I'm no hater. |
I know man. I gotta act when someone mentions a Chono game. Your passion for LoD is probaby about the same as mine with CC (well maybe not THAT much, but close =P), so I figured I would make my response over the top lol.
Yeah I had a lot of good moments with 9 too, but for some reason I cannot seem to finish it a second time. I beat the game once and adore it, but I find the replay value a bit lacking for me. One day enough time shall pass to where I can play it again, I am sure. Maybe the upcoming Switch release?
There are quite a few LoD fans on here. I'm also one of them.

Sorry, went over my head. Well, you can try the PS4 version, you'll have fun jumping ovet a rope 1000x times... xP |
I hate that damn mini game lol. I always maxe it a point to get the prize for 100 times though.
The reason I would wait for Switch though is more for flexibility TBH. Having the option to play on the TV at home while also being able to take the same game save with me seamlessly makes it the ideal version for me. I may actually have time to finish it again that way lol.
