2M PS4 sold on November NPD and Spiderman and God of War reaching 10m sold worldwide before christmas. Those plus COD BOPS 4 and RDR 2.....bufff, PS4 is going to destroy all the software sales records this holiday in USA and WW.

And Smash Bros Ultimate in December for Switch is going to be nuts too. History in the making in this days for the industry, like I expected.

Not to be a downer, but it really seems like XB1 will not be on too many minds this holiday. FH4 sales no doubt will sell some copies, but this holiday clearly belongs to PS4 and Switch.

That's actually what they need to hit 20M. They're not doing it with that current deal. Should still hit a very respectable 17M-18M.

Yeah 17m-18m is where I imagine it, which Nintendo should be more than proud of.

If they feel that they can gain more profit out of $300 plus a game rather than $250 plus a game, then more power to them and their research of the market. Right now the Switch is selling steady before Pokemon and Smash release.

This, Switch had very steady sales without any big game this year with $300 price point without game, so they going first with $300 with one game made most sense.

Next year will Switch have official price cut to $250, but there is no need for this year, even if they dont hit 20m (even if they dont hit 20m they will probably be close to that number).

Not a bad deal, $249 would've better but Nintendo lol

They could do a discount in mid-late December.

Soul Calibur isn't even a month old yet and it's already on sale for nearly half price.

The Pro stock is so limited...

I hear this on this site a lot. But, do we have any actual evidence of that? There's always plenty in stock at my local Target, Walmart, GameStop, and really multiple locations of each of those stores that I go to frequently.  I pay pretty close attention, because this stuff interest me. But, I can't recall ever seeing a retailer out of stock of PS4 Pro except a couple times during the holiday season right after launch.

The lack advertised XB1 and XB1 X are curious for sure.

xbox one s w/ minecraft for $199 on the back page - pretty lame deal compared to the Spider-Man PS4 slim deal

There is an advertised Xbox One S Minecraft bundle for $199, with a $20 Target gift card. So, I say that makes it roughly comprable to the PlayStation 4 deal for the average consumer.

For some reason Microsoft are always obsessed with getting the lowest price the last few years. So I'd still expect an xbox sold at least 1 store for under $200.

And as others said i pray to the console gods Sony have enough stock. They should just over stock the thing beyond anything that could possibly sell out so we see it's full potential. The left overs will be cleared in December.

And I'm super curious to see how psvr moves. Big holiday for the product. Hopefully next black Friday there's a similar deal for $199. That's really getting to mass market prices then.

There was a PS VR Doom bundle last year for $199.  I tried to get it towards the end of the run, but it was sold out at that point. I saw it in stock for most of the duration of that sale, which I think was a couple of weeks.

Apparently Pro is getting a 2TB HDD stock for the same $399 price point. Japan for now, but most likely worldwide soon enough.
