Hot freaking damn! When a 97 hits shelves, it doesn't even matter at that point if you like the genre or not. It wasn't just a little while ago when I read the title of this thread that I realized my plans for tonight have changed. I wasn't planning on getting this at launch, as I am in the middle of so many other games. Make way for RDR2; everything else can wait.

Absolutely. Anything over 95 is a must buy for me. Bought a Switch just for BotW and Odyssey.

You mean like how people critiqued Arkham Knight with its Batmobile segment?

Didn't Knight get review score below City?

Yup, way below, do you think that's the reason?

So it sits on a 97.. tied with BOTW and Mario Odyessey for highest reviewed game of the generation. Interesting to see BOTW vs RDR2 for game of the generation.
I also think Smash Bros Ultimate might join the 97 league the way its going.

BotW vs RDR2 shouldn't even be a debate.

I think it hurt the gameplay flow which would be underlining reason.

Incredible score, Rockstar did a fantastic job with this game.

I'd really like to play this one, and the first, but another open-world game is the last thing I need right now. T_T I'm still miles away from being finished with Breath of the Wild and then I have Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as my next time-sucker to play. And then there's Horizon, and the Witcher series. Where's a time-stopping button when you need one...

Reviews suggest game of the generation. Out doing god of war even. Not sure how interest can be so low. I can't wait to play.

Interest for others can be low. Like I said, not everyone on the planet is going to grab the game. It's not everyone's cup of tea.

My interest is low because they haven't released a PC version, and going by their radio silence on that part, my interest will continue to remain low.

You know, when you say "I really want this game/these games but they don't come out on the one system I play on", that's not a hint to dig your heels in and be pedantic, it's a hint that maybe you should expand your horizons a bit. If you really love games that you can ONLY get on PS4 or Switch, then maybe get a PS4 or a Switch?

This is exactly why I have no respect for 'PC Master Race' people. It's fine to like one console/platform over another and it's even completely fine to extol its virtues, but this is just sad. "Master-Race" Mentality is the last holdout of the console wars and it needs to stop. Switch is great, PS4 is great, Xbox One is great, and all consoles have their pros and cons. cut it out.

It's good to save the best to the last.

Hm. I didn't know RD2 was made with a unification of the various Rockstar studios. I assumed it was made like RDR, primarily by R* San Diego, which help from R* North. Stands to reason I suppose, given the scope of the game.
