Cool. Does it have trophy support though? Couldn't care less about it if it doesn't have trophies.

Doubt it, I don't even think you can hook up to the network.

It might, and they could potentially sell you more old PS1 games for it that way.

100 bucks?! lol

The SNES was 224p....
The PS1 did have alot of 480i games though, so more like "in glorious 640x480".

Call me keen. Can't wait to pre-order it.
Will look fantastic next to my NES and SNES classics.

I think so. Both very expensive.

Cool,

But I'd rather have them downloadable on psn.

But if there's a homebrew scene I might bite. Or if it was portable.

By the way, do we know if the controllers will be wireless or not? I'm pretty much interested in the thing as a homebrew machine for PS1 emulation, but if it's too cumbersome I'll wait to see an alternative.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Hahahaha...no. most PS1 games are 240p (my bad). Very few ran at 480i.

Also, SNES uses mostly 2D sprites... which look reasonably well even on HD/4K displays. The same can't be said of the low poly 3D graphics on PS1.
