Forums - Nintendo - Civilization VI Comes To Nintendo Switch On November 16

Nintendo really needs to get their direct aired ASAP to try to minimise these leaks, otherwise they will have no 3rd party stuff to show!

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

God damn you nature, making our directs less exciting like that.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Take Two be like "We know you wanted GTA V for months now so we're happy to announce you.... Civilisation VI!"

That's a great surprise, got a few Civ games I need to try, but I might just jump on this one instead. Finally getting some needed strategy games on Nintendo, they must have reached the resolution threshold since they've had controls locked down for two generations.

Advance Wars, where are you!?!?!

PS: I would not call this a leak since it's an announcement from the publisher. If it was a ND surprise, that's another subject.

Yeah, it's a great game, and it's also the first time a mainline CIV game has been on console since Civilization 2 on the PS1!

It also sounds like it's going to be a great version with minimal changes, very happy about this. Now let's hope it manages to sell well, 300k+ should be satisfactory.

I know, and I will still enjoy it but porting a PC exclusive to the Switch is way more unexpected than for eg a RDR port. Or maybe 2K is more a fan of the Switch than Rockstar

I will stil enjoy every second of it, if it's aired one day

I am totally shocked that Civ 6 is coming to any console for this very reason.  I just didn't think they ported Civ games to the consoles any more.  Also, if I first saw this during a direct, then I totally would have lost my shit.  This is just a huge surprise.

I've played like 500+ hours of Civ Revolution on the PS3.  I really like this streamlined version of Civ.  But getting any Civ game at all on a console is a big enough deal that I have to give Civ 6 a try.  Also my wife has played about 5000+ hours of Civ Revolution.  She says that she won't try a more complex version, but I bet if she sees me playing then she won't be able to resist.
