I wasn't going to buy D2, but my friends did when it was on sale for $25 for a short period, and bought me a copy since I refused to buy one based on the valid negativity towards it. They all pretty much immediately regretted it and did not feel it was worth the money. Things in the game have changed some since then, but hasn't changed my perspective. D1 was good and got better, D2 was just disappointing. The other day the Forsaken update popped up and required 45GB to be removed in order to download it. Not happening. I should have uninstalled D2 already. We'll see if they can claw their way back like they did with The Taken King from D1, but the hole they have dug this time around is well beyond Dark Below deep.

Got burnt with the monetization of the first one. The tireless expansions that cost nearly as much as the base game (if not the same) and rejig the whole thing that makes your previous toon useless. See, with WoW you pay for a massive expansion every two years and it's a true MMO. Destiny is trying to be a AAA pseudo MMO and have quick expansions that cost a lot. I even got the season pass for the first Destiny only to be forced to buy further content to keep parity. Got sick of throwing money at essentially an online shooter that just wanted to keep grabbing my money. So why would I come into Destiny 2 with a nerfed toon to begin with knowing I have to spend big bucks.

So in the AU store (I'm an Aussie) the first two Expansions will cost me $26.95AU (which is now redundant anyway) or I go for the Forsaken for $100AU. So this is just a trojan to make people who don't understand Destiny 2 fork out another 100AU. Umm, no thanks. I can get the physical copy for $80AU but the point is every new expansion is a the price of a new game and they can get stuffed.

Tbh Destimy has nothing on WoW.

I enjoyed Destiny, but passed on Destiny 2. I will claim it, but do not know if I will actually play it or not. Either way, I have the option now.
