June was a very impressive month for switch, i guess E3, gamestop promotion, and fortnite gave it a nice boost. ps4 is also very impressive, last year it sold around 220k, don't know what's going on this year in june and why hardware is so much higher, industry seems to be thriving.

I thought PS4 did like 380k last year, not 220k.

And it was up YoY (even if only fiscally)? That's crazy.

PS4 #1 by units and revenue,over last year,so > 380k

We should have a pretty good idea of Switch sales for the month, last year it did ~215k so this year should be something like ~325k.

I know the 50%+ increase is in terms of revenue but since Switch only has a single price point and was the same price last year than % increase for revenue & units should be the same.

With how well the NES classic did, I think Sony should get into the classic consoles market and release a PS1 classic, that would fly off of the shelf's.

They will have difficulty having all the third party games license. PS1 are famous for their 3rd party games.

Nintendo manage to get third party games for both the NES and SNES classics.

Like I am sure Sony can convince them to put games like Crash, Tekken, MGS, and FFVII on it.

A guy called jal356 leaked the numbers last year: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=230334&page=1

Additionally, NPD themselves said that June 2017 was the best June for PS4 in unit sales: https://venturebeat.com/2017/07/20/june-2017-npd-tekken-and-injustice-roundhouse-kick-the-sales-chart/
