In case PS5 hit the market in 2020 or before, I find hard to believe that it can hit 120m. Unless PS5 has a hard time and they make PS4 very cheap and people keep buying PS4s while PS5 gets hot. However, if PS5 gets hot and considering how PS4 fans are happy with Sony these days (I am), the jump to PS5 will be huge. In that case, I'd say that PS4 can go from 100m by the end of 2019 to 110m by 2021.

So, I'll vote 111-120, but I believe it's unlikely to hit 120 if PS5 is a success. Perhaps, it can hit more than 120m after many years, in 2023, but I wouldn't dare predicting 2023 numbers today.

Remember you all that "lifetime" includes sales after PS5 launch, so, whatever it will be able to reach when PS5 will come, you'll have to add some millions more.

If Sony rides out the current models till the end. I think PS4 will land around 130 Million.

If we see PS4 Super Slim and Pro Slim next year, I think it can reach 145 million.

I think PS4 had a lot more potential, but now I think Sony should move onto realizing that potential with PS5.

I voted 111-120m in the poll. But I'd vote 121-130m now, which may still be underestimating. Less than 120m seems unlikely now. 111.8m shipped by March 31st 2020 is forecast, doing less than 8.2m after that is very unlikely.

Even the PS3 managed to ship over 7m after the PS4 launched. To reach 120m the PS4 just needs to ship 8.2m in a time period including 8 months before the ps5 comes out. Basically PS4 would have to do substantially worse vs PS5 than PS3 did vs PS4.
