Forums - Gaming Discussion - What trophies and achievements say about you!

What kind of gamer are you?

Trophy Hunter 8 21.05%

Hardcore 14 36.84%

Story Gamer 11 28.95%

Casual Gamer 3 7.89%

Master of My Trade 2 5.26%

Total:38

Just depends on the game. Most games I just go through the story and pick up some trophies on the side if they seem fun to get. If I really love the game and I'm still having fun I'll go all the way to the platinum.

In PS4 you can just click square after opening the hide trophy and it'll give you a description. It is just hidden so you won't see it without wanting or getting so you aren't spoiled.

You know, it is kinda funny.  I have been gaming since trophies first got added during the PS3 days.  Until I figured this out, you have no idea how mad I got trying to figure out how to see the trophies if they were not automatically unlocked through the story.  It just seemed like a bother to google it too.

You know when I figured out that you could do that?  A few weeks ago when I was considering getting the Plat for Horizon Zero Dawn when I accidentally hit the wrong button with a hidden trophy highlighted.  XD

I discovered the same way, and also hatted that it was hidden and there was no indication of how to show it...

So for games I wanted to plat I would look at a guide, but for most I would just say "piss off"

Master of your trade.

Dedicates a lot to a single (or few) games to polish and be among the best.

And congrats for the dedication. I know I don't have this level to keep on the same game

It is an addiction. First I have said : ok.."4 hours would be decent".

Then : "damn...A bit more and I am in the top 8"..."ok, let's try 2h50...2h45...2h40...Oh the first is not so far, I could push a bit more...

It is endless : you are still improving, and you can not stop or you would lose all the skill hardly cumulated.

I can only imagine how much you had to put into it =]

Is this like the breakdown of the playtime you needed to get your best time?

That doesn't show how much time you took to get them... perhaps 4h a day over a full year every day?

No, I had already finished the original 20-25 times in the past, but not in speedrun. On this one I have started begining of March and I spend like 8-9 hours per week since, mostly in the week end ofcourse.
