Not the first time this has happened. I'm pretty sure it's added to your library regardless.
EA Access is there because it's part of EA Access, a service which Sony allows on the PS4. All EA Access games have this button (or should at least). as for BF2, there are 2 editions of the game. The base version is available on PS+. The options are laid out for you when you choose the version you want. I'm failing to see what's so complicated about this. |
COD: I have roughly 600 games in my PS+ library, and I've never been only presented with just a download option. Never. So, it's added to your library regardless...Is it a good thing to have the option removed? To have the ability to simply add a game to your library at the touch of a button, or: Starting the download, exiting out of the store, going into the system menu, scrolling over to notifications, selecting it, selecting the download, and choosing to stop the download...one of these solutions is more elegant than the other. It's only mildly annoying now, doing it one time, slightly more so because of the company involved. I don't want it to become the norm.
SWBF2: "EA Access is there because it's part of EA Access."....Thanks for the explanation. :) I have never even glanced at an EA game on the PS Store. I did just now go to the PS Store and look at 4 games though. Dragon Age Inquisition and Mass Effect Andromeda had no EA Access icon, and FIFA and and NHL indicated that they were included with EA Access....Not the point. That Join EA Access icon is still there in place in the usual "add to library" icon, which again, I don't appreciate.
So, moving on to the choose version s***. There have been plenty of games offered on PS+ that also had a "GOTY" or whatever name complete editions also available, yet had no option to buy it when coming to pick it up on PS+, let alone the default option being the pay choice. But EA gonna EA. Do you think anybody coming to redeem their PS+ freebie are there to buy the game? Different version or not. Ridiculous. But it's not a different version.
Now, regarding the 2 editions of SWBF 2: I provided images.
- Top image, yellow bar Free, adjacent grey bar Full Game
- Second from top image, clearly shows the PS Hits standard edition thumnail Full game product description, below that the option to buy the SAME GAME for $26.99
- Last image, same game thumbnail because it's the same game, Playstation Hits, full game, for $26.99
- Even if the purchase option was for a different game, can you please show me how or where that is represented in with the information provided in the PS Store? I've laid it all out here. Have at it.
And finally, the only other version of SWBF2 on PSN is The Star Wars Battlefront 2 Celebration Edition, which has a price of $51.99.
