2017 was far worse. E3 was actually pretty good I thought, but can easily understand if someone was underwhelmed. Devil May Cry is just one of those games that really had my heart pounding, and when a game you hope gets announced does and it looks amazing it can send someone soaring.

Smash (as a competitive player) was a bit of a let down, I expect more to be announced though so it just is what it is for now.

Deamon X Machina, if they get some skells in there I'd be excited. Other than that probably skip

Fire Emblem looks good....

Death Stranding needs to shit or get off the pot. Seriously watching Norman Reedus carry a fetus is getting VERY boring at this point. Norman Reedus carry a fetus, that's fire!

Halo looks good, and the old school style of it should make Halo fans VERY excited

Gears looks great

Forza looks great

Beyond Good and Evil 2, awesome to see Jade make her current gen debut, hype

Resi 2 looks like they aren't holding anything back! Looks great

Cyberpunk 2077 is looking great! People who played the demo said it went beyond their expectations. Definitely one to look out for

Don't give a crap about Spiderman.

Last Of Us looks good, I'm not interested though, skip for me

Soul Caliber 6 looks good

Dead Or Alive looks great!

I was Dissapointed by my games not showing up or having any gameplay. I wanted to see Darksiders 3, Cyberpunk 2077, The Avengers game, and A Rocksteady game. But that's personal dissapointment, overall it was an okay e3.

I wasn't blown away, but I wasn't disappointed either. I didn't expect this year to be as good as 2017 though. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the type of game that comes out once every 10-20 years. I would have been shocked to see a game that good again. Also I expected Nintendo to announce mostly smaller games (other than Smash Bros.) But I have several games I want to play, and I already have several games that are already out that I still need to play. So, I'm good, but I guess my expectations were not that high.

The biggest surprise of the whole E3 was Control. Everything else we either saw before or knew was coming.

i was a little disappointed at first, but that's only because i really wanted some information on metroid prime 4.
however, i realize now that between my backlog and the number of games that are actually coming out, i'll never play as many games as i would like to.
also, battletoads was announced. so i have no right to complain about anything. praise the toads.

For me is was disappointing.

E3 is meant to be the big show that is meant to surprise us. We wait 12 months for it and we should be wowed as they talk up the event as the gaming event of the year.

Microsoft got me some what excited and at least peaked my interest in how they handle next gen.

Sony, wasn't great but we are at the end of a life cycle and it showed solid games.

Nintendo being in it's second year very disappointing. I do not hate Smash but like common the presentation was bad. Most of that info should have been in the treehouse section of the event. They needed to wow us about the future and that is what was lacking. Sony managed to do that when they launched the PS4 and hence why and many others own one and not an xbox this gen.

This year is definitly one of the weakest in gaming. God of war and i guess RDR2 will be the highlights of the year. But, there wasn't a hell of a lot. We might see some more obscure titles nominated for game of the year.
But, next year is very promising. On the bright side, having a slow year helps combat the back catalog. ^^

I feel the same way, most of the interesting new stuff in 2019 (for me that would be FE Three Houses, Ori 2, Sekiro, Doom Eternal and Last of Us pt2)
Seems like the only AAA games I’ll be getting this year are God of War and the new Smash.

I make game analyses on youtube:

FFVI: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSO6n8kNCwk
Shadow of the Colossus: https://youtu.be/9kDBFGw6SXQ
Silent Hill 2: https://youtu.be/BwISCik3Njc

I think if you are in the MS camp you would be quite happy with whats coming and announcements. For me, i dont need heaps of games to keep me happy, just need afew good ones why i said if you are in the MS camp you would be happy because they showed games for everyone.

Yeah. E3 2018 was rather meh for me. Not bad, not great either.
