Well it's hard to support England after what you did to Ireland for 800 years and even today you still rule over about 20% of our island. So say what you like about Croatia but they couldn't possibly be as bad as England in a historical sense.

 

Anyway up the the Croatians. All of ireland were behind them today. Huge night of celebration for us. 

So supporting the Nazis in their history is okay in your book then?

The Croatian national football is actually what got me into this sport. Back in 2011 my fad country of interest was Croatia and I was reading about the country and their national team came up and was surprised to see they made the semifinals of a World Cup by beating Germany. I then went through the wikipedia articles for other World Cups to see the results and then after following international competitions for a few years I started watching Premier League games on television on weekends during the 2013-14 season.

I've had a good feeling about Croatia for much of the tournament. I'd love them to win, But my head says France will be victorious. I'm going to let my heart rule my head though, and say:

Croatia 2-1 France
Belgium 2-1 England

Are they currently nazis? England still rules over the North of ireland so they may have both been evil in the past but at least the Croatians have sorted themselves out today. When Westminster hands back the North of ireland along with an apology maybe then I'll look slightly more kindly on our not so good neighbours. 

 

FYI the population of ireland would probably be around 20m today rather then under 5m if our friendly neighbours were indeed friendly to us throughout the ages.
