Forums - Gaming - Mega Man 11 launches October 2nd on PS4/XBO/NSW/PC, new trailer + amiibo

Looks good!

I think this is something I would enjoy. Looks great!

Visually the game looks good, now it's really just a matter of how it plays. The 8-bit Mega Man games are some of my all time favourites (especially 2 and 4), so I hope this one turns out great.

Preordered the amiibo edition, hype train

Where's that from ?

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite concept art.

Also @Mar1217 here's X's model:

With art like that there is probably one in development. The people who bought the original Mega Man Legacy Collection were already given hints of a Mega Man 11, as Brick Man appeared as a piece of concept art.

Am I the only one wishing for more female Robot Masters?

Why does it matter? They're robots! They dont have enough screen time to developed anything past personality quirks. They already shot down a female Robot Master anyway.

Despite Capcom's shenanigans on the Switch this is still a day one purchase. But the big question is will i have to buy the US edition or will there actually be a European physical edition this time.

Mighty No. 9 literally did all the market research for Capcom and handed to them on a sliver platter. If I was Keiji Inafune I would be hiding in a hole right about now. lol

This is what Mighty No. 9 should've been ...

I guess the excuse of "better than nothing" goes into the trash bin ... (Keiji Inafune is content with being the Japanese version of Peter Molyneux where broken promises are the norm for both of them)

I'm really having a hard time getting past the switch to 3D graphics. Why does the industry shy away from 2D sprite-based graphics so much? If they were going for something different visually and maybe not as limiting as 8-bit graphics, why not go for something more like Mega Man 8? While MM8 wasn't quite as mechanically sound as the old 8-bit entries, it was aesthetically gorgeous, and the 32-bit PS1 was capable of cranking out some amazing sprites. Hell, Sonic Mania kept the same basic 16-bit look of old-school Sonic, but did a lot more with the animation, with sprites that moved more more fluidly and dynamically. It was a treat for the eyes.

Now, none of this is to say that MM11 looks ugly. It's simply a matter of preference. For games like this, I far prefer 2D graphics.

Of course, the game looks like it plays very similar to old-school Mega Man, with a few tweaks and additions. If the gameplay turns out to be worthy of the series, I'll most certainly get it.

After DBZ fighters i would much rather every 2d game use that style instead.
