Yes, after JL they realized they needed to do more. But they weren't just mucking around waiting for their future films to do poorly after they saw the writing on the wall at the start. 

Of course, that's exactly what these threads have as an underlying motive.

I really hope the movie is good and not an sjw fest. But I hope it flops. I will watch when its on netflix. But will not give my money to disney on SW movies after what they did in last jedi.

That is true, I never thought of that and we will get more people being angry for my entertainment.

Really? Marvel stays out of politics? Did you not watch Black Panther? Which by the way over-performed by Disney expectations. Also Marvel movies are vastly different to one another. Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Spider-Man Homecoming and such all have different feel to them so even though technically they are superhero films, they can be taken as individual movies as well. Not so with Star Wars, which is why there is a fatigue with those movies already.

You have such an anti-SJW boner that you will believe people are pushing propaganda at you even though they're just making a movie. Heck Solo has a straight white male lead so this should be right up your alley man.

Just got back from seeing it.

And I thought it was a lot better than I was expecting. A decent popcorn movie, in fact, I was done with my popcorn halfway through. Having read through this thread beforehand (thank you guys very much for keeping spoilers to yourselves, I mean that), I do have to say that comments about Lando being "pansexual" is reaching. I didn't think he was anymore flamboyant than he was in Empire, nor was out of character. The droid was maybe a bit SJW but not too much. I'd say these things are grossly exaggerated and were definitely not as blatant as the PETA worshipping and such in The Last Jedi. I liked Emilia Clarke's character and how Han and Lando's actors fit their roles, especially Donald Glover, great job. I was kind of disappointed in Han's first meeting with Chewbacca and why he feels like he owes Han a life-debt and stays with him for the rest of life though, and the final cameo, while cool to see, was definitely wtf.

Anyway, it's not brilliant and Rogue One will stay my favorite of the Disney Star Warzes for now, but with this these anthology films are probably better than the main episodes. I'm glad I wasn't disappointed.

Especially after the maelstrom it just becomes very boring.

Why in the world would they release a Star Wars movie in May when they have set the expectation that Fall is the season for it?  Nobody is expecting a Star Wars in May.  Nobody knows this movie just released.  People have only generally heard about this movie even exists.  Yes it will flop.

I watched it, and it was decent. It was certainly a lot better than that SJW filth that was TLJ. The fanfare was decent, it told a good story, and the surprise reveal towards the end actually has me interested in whatever film is going to follow this one up.
