Forums - Sony - Detroit: Become Human Reviews: 79 Metacritic, 80 OpenCritic

Imho it makes a difference if the number strays by 20% from the middle, as in your GT example...or by 40%, as in Detroit‘s case.

Who makes that rule, You?

It’s called logical thinking.

Aren't you the one telling others that the scores that are much lower than the overall consensus should be treated the same as the highest ones, regardless of the ratio between them?

95/100 = 15% higher than the average.

40/100 = 40% lower than the average.

But according to you, we should treat both the same way. Because reason.

What makes you say a game scored higher by 15% isnt a troll post? How do you make judgement? A troll review is still a fake review.

And where did you do your maths? 100/100 on a game that averages 75 is a 25% difference. But i guess to you guys, unless its a direct 40% in the negative its considered a troll review and lets forgive the 10/10 scores of other games with average metas because reasons.

You never talked about 100...you talked about 95 for GT. That’s 20. at least remember what you wrote.

For Detroit the highest on MC is 95, that’s 16% higher than the average.

I miss the times when games were scored with objective criterea as presentation, graphics, story (when applicable), gameplay, sound, enjoyment and lasting appeal.

Detroit would probably have scored a lot lower if that system was still in place.

I very much doubt, but at least it would have a fair judgement to discount those points.

Please sources and links for troll positive reviews.

I mean are we seriously talking about troll reviews? Every game gets them why are we all throwing a fit over someone taking the piss just find a reviewer you like and look at their judgement.

Yes we are, and some are denying they exist because all reviewers are highly regarded professionals with totally neutral behavior, do you believe it?

And talking about those critereas... Gameplay evaluation talk about how fluid and responsive it's, how well done it works, etc. If a game is a QTE gallore you should evaluate how it works (like the time each command stays, if it get the input right, how challenging it's, etc) there isn't a single gameplay standard, you have to at least consider genre...

So if the game have all those cleared no sub 80 is really applicable.

And where did you do your maths? I took my numbers by going off the review aggregate pages. And the game didn't get a single 100. The highest score it got is 95, and the lowest is 40.

Where did you take your 100? The game stands at 79% on metacritics, and at 80% on opencritics. So where is that 75% coming from?

And funny how you don't go to the length you're going here when it comes to the games on your systems of choice. I expect you to act the same you do here from here on out. Regardless of what system the game is on. Bonus if it's a game you really enjoy.

Also, as Don asked, please point us to the positive troll reviews you speak of.

Owww you probably missed the discussion on SoT where he tried to imply that we were saying the game was bad because the score was low or sales. And not the oposite.

Yeah but every game has em. It would be like deleting Jim Sterlings review of BOTW cause he didnt like how open Zelda was. But with this like this it can ge bad because people can just hate the entire genre but to put people that love David cage´s work on the game for reviews is a bit of a stretch. Its all a bit harder with sites like Metacritic around and being under what most consumers think everyone knows you´re the ´bad guy´ they might not even be trolling they might genuinely dislike the game.

But yes they do exist and anyone saying they dont is a lie. Its all for the clicks.

I don't have a problem with a reviewer explaining why he didn't like a game and giving an adequate score for it (but personal enjoyment shouldn't be the biggest factor). But when you hate the genre then the review is already at jeopardy.

Hynad - You have jumped the gun and didn't read my post before. 75 was for GTS, a game where 1 reviewer gave it a 100/100 score on a game that averages 75 on meta. Why didn't any of you come out and claim troll review for being 25% over the average rating? Probably read before posting.

Don - I have no idea what you are on about which in general is nothing new. I am scratching my head wondering where SoTs has come from and why this has anything to do you with calling out troll reviews on this forum.. are you referring to SOD2 which I said I am enjoying regardless of the reviews?.. Back on our topic, why didn't you call out the only 10/10 score on GTS? 25% over the average rating.. while Detroit has received 2 reviews that gave it a 4/10.

So now 25% is equal to 40%? And the fact that it's 100 doesn't automatically makes it a troll, as we asked you to prove it is a troll. Do you even know what is an internet troll and what they do?

Your lack of understanding really isn't anything new..

I'm still waiting for the list of PS exclusives you played and can prove.

25% or 40% makes no difference, a fake review is a fake review and should not be tolerated, Detroit has received 2 reviews that gave it a 4/10 while GTS has received only 1 review of 10/10 on an average of 75.. that 10/10 sticks out like a sore thumb compared to Detroit where there's multiple reviewers who gave it low numbers.

Your last sentence baffles me.. what has this got to do with me, I am not a reviewer and I am not rating this game haha.. You come out complaining about a review or reviews not hitting your sweet spot and I am basically telling you to ignore them and just play the damn games. Don't be bias, if you hate the extremely low negative reviews than you should hate the extremely high positive reviews, but you choose to ignore it because.. well are you bias? Do you see me posting about the negative reviews on SOT or SOD2? I don't care as much as you think, I just play the games if they interest me.

Also stay on topic, stop trying to make this personal.

If being 25% or 40% makes no difference, then 0% also doesn't right? And since when did Troll translate to fake? And how can you prove that the 100 is fake? And there were more high grade reviews on GTS as well. Also still waiting for any positive troll review.

It have to do with you that say scores or hate doesn't stop you from playing a game. So I want to know what PS exclusives did you play. I don't let scores stop me from playing, but it also doesn't stop me from complaining about them. But here you are a royal member of the PC master race who have so many good games to play that doesn't have time to discuss on the internet.

I'll stop when you take your own advice. But since you still haven't I'll say that I'm always delighted when the most biased users on VGC ask others to be unbiased... and even worse because they think they aren't biased.
