Just on fat Pikachu, I would love if they introduced size variants for the Pokemon, like you could have fat Pikachu who can hit harder and take more than regular Pikachu, but loses speed as a trade off. We've already got Pumpkaboo as a precedent, it couldn't be that hard to bring in for all of them

Also regarding the leaked screenshot, this verified eevee centric Twitter account posted this picture around the time of the leaked screenshot.
So it seems that the leaked screenshot with Lapras was real.

That seems like a bit of stretch.
Well unless they spontaneously release it, the reveal coming a day after website registration wont be the case this time as it should've been announced by now. These are just remakes and not a new gen, but I woulda thought being the first mainline Pokemon on Switch still warrants a direct.

They said it is, no reason to think they're lying. Also they already made post-Switch games for 3DS in US/UM.
