Who Responds Best to What Fans Want?

Microsoft 10 11.63%

Nintendo 12 13.95%

Sony 64 74.42%

Lately? Sony has focused on their core market for a good decade after making mistakes. The PlayStation 4 was made with developers and gamers in mind. They also focus heavily on studios and exclusives while managing to give new ideas and reward fan favorites. Others may surprise me, but I trust Sony to deliver.

Definitely Sony, that's not even a contest imo. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, MediEvil, Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last Guardian and Shenmue 3 are only a few game examples of how much Sony made fan dreams come true this generation.

^ this.

Its not even close, when it comes to listening to fans and giveing them games.
How many Xbox guys have been begging MS to do a Sunset Overdrive 2? or a Ryse 2? new Lost Oddessey? and non of that will happend.

I ignored that post the first time but you co-signed it! Crash, FFVII, and Spyro aren't even Sony properties. Shenmue isn't even getting any backing from Sony, is it? A company releasing a game on PlayStation isn't an example of Sony losing listening to fans, is it?

I think we have different ideas of what "listening to fans" is. Releasing (or trying to release) good games is just what companies are supposed to do. When fans say "This is wrong. Please fix it." and companies do it, that's what I consider listening to fans. I don't make the definitions, though.

Making a good product is one thing and if this thread was about who made the better product, I could understand. When it comes to taking criticism and listening to feedback, I can't agree. Sony pretty much sticks to their winning game plan.

If I had to make an analogy, I'd say:

Sony is Marvel Cinematic Universe. They've got it all figured out and all they have to do is stick to what works. They do take risks ever now and then.

Xbox is DC. No fucking idea what to do and doing everything to catch up. "You want comedy? Okay we'll try. You want this storyline? Okay. We'll try it. Oh, you liked Wonder Woman? We'll give you more if her. Please just like us!"

There's a reason Sony is the number one. Nintendo and Microsoft try, but they're always playing catch-up with Sony. Nintendo is by far the one that listens the least, they don't really care about what their fans want. Microsoft pretend they care, but we all know the truth, they only change when they're trying to beat Sony.

I would say sony. MS listen to their fans as long as they are asking for features and services.

a bigger thing you could listen to for Nintendo than the analogue nub on the 3ds would be the fact that the switch is region free....

Yeah, but so was the DS. So why did they screw over their fans by region locking the 3DS in the first place after they already had a region free console?

OT: I think Microsoft might actually win this one for me. To be fair most of them listening to their fans is because of how bad they screwed things up to start with, but they still do make changes that fans want more often than the others. Unless Sony/Nintendo are planning on adding backwards compatibility soon... nope, didn't think so.

The DS was region free indeed, but from a home console point of view none of their systems are, SNES even has a different shape of cart in US/EU region requiring additional hardware to play games imported for it. Gamecube requires a freeloader etc, but on the Switch I've got 3 accounts for each region and it happily lets me play games bought from any account on my system.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Depends what fans want. So in a way they all are doing quite well.

This is a hard question to answer. I'll start by saying that Nintendo is definitely the least responsive. They simply don't give a shit what anyone says. They do what they think is best. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong. But, they're never gonna change for you, me, or anyone else.

It would seem that Sony has delivered what gamers want the most recently. But, I feel like MS has done the most changing in response to fan feedback. That may be because they didn't listen upfront though. I voted for Sony, assuming that they didn't just get lucky with all of their hits lately. I'm figuring they have produced these great, appealing games because they've correctly read the market, and given the market what it wants.

The one that showed FF7 Remake, TLG, and Shenmue 3 at a single E3.

I am Iron Man

Wouldn't the point about Metroid Federation Force be over turned by the fact that they are developing Metroid Prime 4?

Also, here's something I wonder about. Are you able to change your PSN name yet? I know that has been a wanted feature, and I too would like to change mine if possible.
