Forums - Nintendo - RUMOUR: Possible Nintendo Direct on May 7th?

I think at this point it's very likely this rumor was false. But hey, there's still a few hours to go and I could be wrong.

It starts

Information has been released!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

So there's no direct but information about Online service have released?

Pocky Lover Boy!

Well shit, but still the E3 part of the leak is complete bogus so they just got lucky with the date.

Well, looks like this is a bust. Though in a way, we did get something news worthy today from Nintendo.

In regards to the rumour no it's not a bust yet as it never actually said a Direct was going to happen on May 7th that was the OP who said that, the actual rumour said online details would emerge which they did and got things quite spot on.

So that guy in the GameFAQs forum was right after all. Because he never said there would be a Direct on the 7th only that there will be more information about the online service which was the case.

Also right about Nintendo ditching Virtual Console for Switch but so far we only got NES games not GBA but the Nintendo Site says more games are to be revealed.

Wonder how the rest of his predictions will play out.

Tbh if the rest of it plays out as he says it's perfectly fine as going by what he said Smash being based on Melee and S4, Pokemon being a sort of reboot of Red/Blue with S/M's direction and near Pokken's graphical level, Fire Emblem's reveal, Paper Mario and Metroid Prime 4's reveal that's a solid E3 as it is with everything else just adding to it. It doesn't look flash on paper but in a 36 minute E3ND it's really strong as a one minute Smash teaser blew up the internet so footage of what he claims is going to send waves regardless.

If this is true, I hope Nintendo sees the negative reaction towards the leak and change their presentation. However, that might be wishful thinking.

Well.... he got the online info being released and the Virtual Console brand being ditched right...

Hoping the e3 part is made up though, where's my ANIMAL CROSSING.
