Around 200k for PS4 I reckon?

I wouldn't be surprised if PS4 sales of that week went a bit down as people meaning to buy one back then would be holding off for the God of War release.

Oh man I can't wait to see the figures connected to the GOW release.

Yep. The Apr 21st week will be impressive; Apr NPD will be in the hands of Sony; this gen is over in a way I would define “embarassing”

Its a pace of 107k a week including europe, impossible?

Not sure what you're asking?

To fill the gap between that 3.2 and 1.7 the switch has to sell about 107k in europe + others each week, that pace doesnt seem really out of the ordinary

PS4 exceeding expectations. 20 months with no price drops and still leading.

Would be a nice time to revisit the next-gen sales prediction thread? lol. Everyone had WiiU destroying PS4 and X1. I never thought that for a second. But also never expected PS4 to be doing what it’s doing.

Its "only" around 60% right now..... XB1+NSW makeing up the rest.

I would say if it didn't hit it then it was/is extremely close since the Wii U was the console of the generation to be honest. I know that is not a popular opinion but the Wii U was the console for this gen and the Switch is the leader for next gen. At least that is how I look at it anyway. But either way sales are very good.

Gen 8 is =
Wii U -> Switch
Vs
PS4 + PS4pro
Vs
Xb1 + Xb1x

Switch "might" be nintendos 9th? console (im not even sure), but it belongs to the same generation of consoles as the PS4 + Xb1, as those are who its on the market with, and competeing against. A generation isnt just 1 console on its own, but the "market" of that time periode.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eighth_generation_of_video_game_consoles

it lists both Wii U & Switch as 8th gen.
The only way that makes sense imo.

I meant to post this in this thread, but ended up in another:
I feel like there is no way Switch is hitting 20 million this year... I think they dropped the ball with the first half of 2018...

Then I definitely looked at it wrong lol. I had the Switch as the start of Gen 9 lol.

Yes it does seem out of the ordinary.

Like i said, NPD has USA at 860k so Americas is likely ~1 million and Media Create has Japan at 725k.

Other has been in between Japan and Americas every quarter so far so 850-900k is likely.

Americas-1m

Japan-725k

Other-875k

Global-2.6m

Switch has been doing 200k-ish for April.Considering there has been no major release, other than Kirby at the end of March, those are excellent sales.

Switch is a monster. Still doing around 200k in the weakest sales period with only Kirby released so far.

I'm astonished.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019
