You are complicating things. They make an emulator, like the other virtal consoles and just add the game in. Source code is not needed. Honestly though, it's a cheap excuse. Fans managed to fan translate the rest of SF3 without the source code. I'm sure SEGA can too.

Yup. Exactly. A nice emulator with a ton of filters and post-processing.

...the problem is, of course, making a nice Saturn emulator

Yeah, Bulk Slash is a great Saturn title - and unique in its presentation, too: therefore, IMO, it has aged quite well.

I managed to "score" a copy on ebay for $68 last year - usually it goes for a lot more.

If they bring Saturn games to switch would that include 3rd party games?

I know I'd love to have castlevania symphony of the night playable on a nintendo console.

Exactly, anyway the best console version of Crazy Taxi was included in Crazy Taxi 3 on the original X Box the second game was also included.

Problem is no one even today has ever managed to produce a perfectly functional Saturn emulator because of how the Saturn works, the system was a mess of chips so each game is not fully compatible with emulators as a result and Saga is one of the most notable games that doesn't work well with emulators with constant crashes, the best Saturn emulator today requires a beefy PC to run. This isn't like N64, PS1 or other systems Saturn has complex issues which is why they've said they require the code.

Not to mention that PD1 has seen an updated Sega Ages release on PS2 and was included in PD Orta on the original Xbox. It can happen.

PD1 is not Saga.
