Forums - Gaming Discussion - Is Capcom bringing back "ONIMUSHA"?

I hope so, it’s been too long.

It's gonna be a cheap remaster than no one will care about. Either that, or a browser game.

If they put the four main Onimusha games on PS4, I'll flip shit. So you're clearly not speaking for me. Who are you speaking for?

One of my all time favorite franchises. Been wanting capcom to revisit this series forever now. Hoping to god it’s true.

Without tank controls, no want.

I loved the PS2 games, so I'm all in for a new installment or a remaster of the original games. I only hope they launch it on PC too.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

If so, then it's only because of the sucess of Nioh and the hypeness for Ghost of Tsushima.

Capcom didnt have the balls to release a new Onimusha last gen cause they said it wouldn't be appealing enough to the west.

They brought back Megaman after the failure that was Mighty No. 9, so that very well may be the reason.

Either way, I'm happy it's (potentially) coming back in some form, be it a remaster or sequel.

I'm not speaking for anyone. Just that the odds are it wouldn't sell enough copies to warrant a resurrection to the series due to Capcom's lazy efforts (if it's a typical low-tier remaster) That would make it a painful tease to those of us that are too hopeful.

You know I couldn't have meant "no one" in the literal sense, right? :)

So your comment depends on the idea of it automatically being a low-tier remaster in spite of Capcom kicking tons of ass lately?

And of course, but the wording implies it wouldn't sell well because you don't think it would instead of gauging community reaction to it.

I'm hoping with the rise of Jurassic World movies that Capcom will bring back Dino Crisis.

Well.. yes. Hence the wording "cheap remaster"

I appreciate what Capcom did to Monster Hunter, and how they listened to their fanbase to remake Resident Evil 2 and bring back Mega Man. But they haven't done enough yet to regain my trust. Let's not forget that they ported DMC collection just last month, which is a prime example of a "low-tier remaster" I don't see why it would be any different with Onimusha but I sure hope I'm wrong. A remake-ster in the vein of SotC/Crash/Spyro is an instant pre-order from me, even if it's a single game (preferably Onimusha 3)

Capcom doesn't care your trust. They does what they want to do.

Same.
