I think pretty much every publisher announces games too early these days, I'd prefer if they were announced like a month before release.

I actually hope all companies change that this year. Announce games that are WITHIN a year of release it just makes sense. Microsoft said that's what they're gonna start doing I think.

My answer is who gives a shit. Their games sell millions, so I think they know what they are doing. Personally, I prefer the 2-3 years before release announcement. I like following a game's development and getting more hyped. And while I think announcing 4-5 years in advance is annoying, it isn't like it's stopping me, or anyone else, from buying the game.

I do think it's funny when some Xbox fans try to push this narrative, though, as MS is worse than Sony on the matter. But, regardless of who does it, quit the bitching.

I think within a year is fine. Over 2-3 years is just too much sometimes, doesn't matter what company. 

I've gotten used to it. I remember threads like this all throughout last gen.

Yeah a bit early, but it has worked out great for them, so cant really complain too much.

Yes they do and i hate it! since 2014 their E3's annoy me because of this very reason.

not saying there's been 4 year waits, I'm saying since that E3 they've been showing games that aren't ready that year or the next or have suffered delays.
