Lol true.  But don't think too many people could have expected how well Mario Kart has done and how badly GTAIV has done compared to the previous versions.  Granted the last version of the game had a much bigger user base to sell on than the combined PS360 userbase but I think many people expected tons would get a PS360 for the game.  Some even predicted that Wii sales would reduce to nil once the game launched (you know who you are)

I thought MK was Mortal Kombat :O

With Mario Kart Wii at 8.8 million and Grand Theft Auto IV at 10.65 and that Mario Kart Wii sold about 195k this and Grand Thefto Auto IV sold about 49k combined this week.. Mario Kart Wii will pass likely both eventually.

coolestguyever and Mirson probably feel dumb right now. They need to eat some crow before the week is over honestly.

Maybe I'm just not getting the point of this thread or the method ioi is using but only 10-12 million for MK Wii while GTA IV will go on to sell 16-17 million. Funny considering Mario Kart has shown better legs but in the long run will sell worse?

Now tell me if I'm missing somethign because I must be missing something otherwise I wouldn't be point out this obvious contradiction.

Well aside from my forgetfulness to check the dates it is cute to see how many people got rocked in this thread. Check Montana Hatchet's post on the first post on page 1. Sure he'd love to take that back haha. It's why people should do like me and make predictions not empirical statements. Always comes to bite your ass in the end especially if your reasoning isn't good haha.
