One of the problems was that almost all Nintendo fans on this board were hyping up Smash Bros. and barely anyone talked about MK:Wii - I bet lots on this site expected Smash Bros. to beat Mario Kart too.
Lot's of crow is going to get served in this thread. But in all fairness not that many people expected this to happen.

I guess the reason the "hardcore Nintendo fanboys" were the only ones to believe MK Wii would do so well, is because they know the legs of these games, and how high Nintendo franchise game sales go.
I remember making the arguement that games like New Super Mario Bros., and others, don't have the astronomical first week sales, but reach numbers like 15-25 million by hanging around on the top 20 lists for years. I've yet to see a game on any non-Nintendo system do that.
And as for Leo-J, thank god this site has some comedic presence.

Yes, I got owned bad in this thread. A lot of people did. But necroing threads is against the rules. Besides, I'd wait for the event to actually happen and just make a thread about it instead of reviving a thread 6 months later with very little relevance when the difference is still over a million.
