I didnt say the actions themselves are good, but I believe people that worked their way up the food chain should have the ability to exert their power in benefit of their own interests without retribution from a mob that hasn't done anything to get themselves in to a similar position of influence. You want to be like Bernie and actually work your way up and create change directly, then that's great. However a mob of people being outraged at everything and essentially shackling anybody with perceived privilege or power from being able to actually enjoy that influence is unfair to them. If you can afford to pay some politicians to fix the tax system in your favor, or chose to pay less than minimum wage or have the money to bribe your way out of trouble then you should be able to enjoy those benefits. If you want to change it, then get in to an equal position of power and change it directly instead of crying foul as part of a lazy mob that hasnt achieved anything themselves. IMO those with advantages should be able to fully enjoy them. If you dont like being paid less than min wage, made uncomfortable comments or jokes to, etc then get a new job. We dont need a rally for everything when you're in control of your own life.

Are you trying to make us feel guilty/sympathetic for the individuals in power because people are teaming up to mitigate or stop their abuse of power? Because it's not working.

I think most people are too selfish and entitled to feel sympathy for them. I'm just giving you the other side, for what it is, because no one stands up for it in popular discussion.

So, you're playing devil's advocate? Do you even believe it then?

There are no words.

You are arguing that the rich should be able to bribe politicians and not face any consequences for it while the poor should be trampled on and abused because they lack power. There are no moral, ethical or logical arguments to support that point of view. Such actions are objectively bad for society and to defend them based on your own personal philosophy does nothing but show how you have a backwards sense of morality.

You have no argument sir, only broken morals.

Yes, I believe in freedom and I think the rich and powerful have been vilified and persecuted in recent years.

You believe in freedom? It doesn't seem like it, you think that powerful people should have carte blanche to exploit others anyway they want, so that's not freedom for the majority of people.

Thats probably because a lot of people don't like the idea of massive businesses, millionaire CEOs and people that haven't worked a day at a real job in decades having control and influence in politics in ways that the overwhelming majority of people can't replicate. Fuck rich and powerful people. They're the reason the current minimum wage is one of the lowest in history when you adjust for inflation and why changes to tax policy often benefit the top 10% more so than middle and lower class

Personally, I could care less about Laura Ingraham. She's a Neocon and shouldn't be taken seriously about anything. As for the "insult", seriously? David Hogg and his followers lost their shit over that? What a bunch of snowflakes. I've had worst things said to me on the playground at school as a kid. Not getting into college is hardly the worst thing you can say about somebody. Get over it. If this kid really wants to be famous, he should learn that people are going to say bad things bout him. Some of them will be true. Some of them won't. That's part of the price you pay for being famous.

As for Hogg and his cult fanbase, I have a feeling it's going to end very badly for him. Somebody, somewhere is going to unearth some recording of him saying something racist, misogynistic, or anti-Semitic and then it'll be all over for him. It might even be a joke, but it won't matter. A lot of his followers strike me as people who don't like jokes. It's just something about him. People like him have way too much dirty laundry somebody is going to find something.

Yes it is. They have the freedom to leave said job/relationship/situation and exploit or help others around them. You advocate for taking the freedom of the powerful to exploit those around them, but the real solution is for those around them to go somewhere else if they want a change or get in to a position of power themselves. This is how it worked during the industrial Era and gilded age. You don't want freedom you want equality and fairness.

6. There's no excuses. And he believes anyone that votes against gun legislation is bought by NRA money.

You've never blurted out something you don't actually think, in the heat of the moment, or when you're angry, etc?

Sure I have but that's not a good excuse to shield yourself from criticism for it

Go somewhere else? Where, in the graveyard, six feet under? There's no avoiding it. You can't have freedom if you're being exploited and robbed of a comfortable life.
