Forums - Sony - Days Gone delayed to 2019

Kinda lost interest in this game after last years E3. Might still check it out though.

Funny how the apologists are out in force. It's "OK" when Sony delays a game, because "it will be better" or "the schedule is full".

Anybody else who delays their games, its the end of the world and they should just get out of the business.

Clearly, every developer ends up moving releases to match with completion schedules and to avoid other titles. But all developers/publishers should be given the same latitude.

Props to the moderator for his heavy-handed use of authority. Nevermind the poster has a point. And seriously, is what he said that inflammatory? Chinese dissidents get more leeway than some users in this forum.

I really hope it's a scheduling issue and not a development issue since this game has been in development for a very long time. I am also not sure if it is a good idea to release it close to Last of Us 2 because they are so thematically similar

Agreed. Releasing those two games so close is a recipe for overshadowing.

OT: Can't say I'm surprised but I'm still bummed, I was looking forward to this one later in the year.

Pretty sure Tlou 2 is going to release in 2020.

Unless the game has the release date down to the day/week/month, I don't consider it having an original release date anyways. Of course I give more stock to developers that tend to make their goals.

There are so many games i've yet to play that I actually don't care.

Cool, look forward to the added battle royal mode

Is that actually a thing?

At this point I'm about 2-2.5 years behind in my games.

Growing up sucks.

I know right? Nowadays I even tend to stay away from open world games because they slow down things even further.
