I’m sure there would be benefits for both parties from such a deal :)

Maybe ... but I would sooner they spent that money on fresh blood, so to speak. What better company is there that's proven their ability without actually making their own content? Bluepoint just seems an obvious choice to me although clearly other companies would be welcome too!

So many of Sony’s studios have gone from making good games, to making GOTY material masterpieces. Days Gone dev I had never heard of, but their new game looks amazing. Horizon zero dawn dev, Insomniac (even though theyre 2nd party) goes from making platformers to this new multi-million franchise game called SpiderMan.

All in all, Sony’s studios are blossoming, and are really fulfilling their true potential. I guess this is what full creative freedom does to a studio (take note MS and EA).

So yeah, I would also like them to purchase a studio who might not be that well known, but could really blossom under Sony’s wings :)

Maybe they should try with Playground? They are very talented and independent like Remedy.

Should purchase Insomniac

We're having this conversation over at resetera. Would there really be any point in purchasing companies that already support Sony heavily with exclusive content?

So they can seal the deal. I know people enjoyed Sunset Overdrive, but I feel that money could have been better spent on a game that people would actually play on a healthier console. Sony x Insomniac are like peas and carrots. I also think MS should make a similar move toward Playground Games, Make it official.

I can't help looking at this information and then considering Sony are going to drop PS3 content from PS+ next year. It's almost as if they will be needing more development next year for something new ...

The PS5 Exists.

Pursuit Force reboot please!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I like their idea of giving even more strength to 1st party. Bring even more game. And hearing GoW and Detroit coming so close we can't say Sony don't put effort on exclusives.

And looking at how much more success their 1st party have been getting and increasing sales it really makes sense.

Sweet

I'm wondering if it could also mean purchasing one or two new companies.

Bluepoint?

They definitely should do that, just buy them and tell them they can remaster or remake whatever they want (providing Sony owns the IP of course).

They should buy a few new studios. I.would vote for Sony to buy From Software.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Sony Bend are awesome and all but Days Gone hasnt has the best showings so far.

I figure its getting a Battle Royale MP mode added to it. Honestly the best thing the game could have right about now

Are you for real?! The game looks stellar. And no. Please no stupid tacked on MP mode.

About time.
