If the cliff comment was about not hitting 20M, does that mean Switch will climb/fall up the cliff if it manages to sell 20M?

Jez I gotta say, not even going to say it's awesome to see how the Switch is doing compared to the X1 and PS4 but just when you look back at the utter disaster that was the Wii-U and then see how the Switch is doing compared to that, have to tip my hat to Nintendo with it, I was very fairly pessimistic in the months pre launch but they've absolutely blown it outta the park with the Switch and while managing to keep the 3DS selling just as well as before.

Think about it every week Nintendo basically slip a bonus 50-100k more consoles into players hands with the 3ds alongside having either a contender for the number 1 spot each month this last year.

I think we all have urges to go off on certain users because of the behaviours you described. The big issue with that is we do not personally know many of the people on this site and so we don't know what they are going through in life. When we resort to tactics like bullying, we run the chance of pushing someone who may be in a volatile state in real-life over the edge, which is really not worth it. Beyond that it contributes to the degradation of a healthy atmosphere that encourages sharing of opinion and having civil arguments.

Now of course there are users that do engage in problematic behaviours that are also detrimental to the state of the discussion. When such users pop-up I think it is just best to counter their arguments and if they engage in inciting behaviours (due to the nature of this site, it often comes down to directly or thinly-veiled "my favourite console/company/video game is better than yours and so yours should fail" type of rhetoric) then it is just best to report them to a mod as opposed to attacking them.

I am pretty much sure that we are all rooting for a certain device or company (I know I certainly am, which you can probably tell from my avatar), which as you mentioned is fine and even healthy with regards to having a diverse discussion on the prospects of gaming and consoles. Where it becomes dicey is when certain users become disruptive and provocative which prompts other users to attack that user; this ends up pretty much creates a toxic circle where one user(s) goes after another which essentially runs all healthy discussion into a ditch.

I am so lost here.....why do people keep saying stuff like wow PS4 couldn't win with MHW....while it did MUCH better than previous entries of the game......was this supposed to be some huge system seller/pusher for the US to have an impact like that on NPD? I always looked at it and even Dragonball fighter Z to have a bigger impact in Japan WHICH THEY DID lol. So why are people saying stuff like PS4 lost with MHW and Dragonball fighter Z?

Anyway I am back late....do we have any new info?

I think its more to do with switch having no new releases compared to that of x1/ps4 having 2 big games (not system sellers)

i feel the same about people championing the Switch outselling the PS4 as a huge achievement when the PS4 is 3.5 years older and the Switch started out $100 cheaper

I think NPD cover all the PSVR bundles in their assessments too, so that could be added to the revenue equation.
