The girls are the only thing worth watching in darts.

Well let's be honest none of the daters are what you call eyecandy. Taking the walk on girls and cheerleaders away. Is like taking away a bit of the soul of the sports. One of the things I like about darts was that very culture of carefree drinking, dress up and not really caring about what the rest of the world think or does. Walk on girls where part of that culture and it's sad that they are banned, because society thinks they shouldn't exist and owners agreeing with them. In the small hope of attracting a different audience.

Man or woman you will never get more power by limiting your own freedom

Fake feminism working against their cause. Sad.

I don't know. The ban is a bit harsh, but I've always been sceptical of grid girls. They're just like those models in car shows: they have no good reason for being there.

The same can be said of most instagram celebrities though (I've seen instagram models promote the weirdest shit in bikini pictures). Some modern feminists are actually trying to limit female freedom of choice, by banning things they consider misogynistic, it's kind of a paradox, really.

I don't care for scantily clad girls at car shows or sport events myself, I don't understand the point of cheerleaders either, but removing the possibility altogether seems drastic to me.

Yes, let's blame feminism for this and not the ones with the actual power to make these decisions.

But this isn't a ban from some higher authority. This is the tournament organizers themselves stopping the practice. It's not a law that has been lobbied through by feminists or whatever.

Welcome to 2018, where everyone is offended at a company (F1) before anything even happens. It's ironic that not a single feminist activist has voiced opposition for this considering dozens of girls have lost their job for something they enjoy and signed up for. I guess it's only worth a feminists time if there's conterversy around it. Big surprise...

If it pays and those women choose to take it on as an occupation then so be it, leave them be.

I've hardly seen any feminists admonishing the decision, particularly the sex-negative feminists.

OT: Taking away jobs that some women take (under their own volition) as a stepping stone to professional modeling is obviously a great idea... Whether there is a point or not to having grid girls is your subjective opinion.
