Those seem like such random games to compare, but anyways:

R1 A: Splatoon 2 is very popular, but so is Monster Hunter. I honestly have no idea.
R1 B: MHW for sure, just because of how many PS4s/XBox Ones are ou there.

R2 A: MHW is almost being marketed as a PS4 exclusive. I think MHW wins this one.
R2 B: MHW for sure.

R3: This one is really hard. MHW will sell much better in Japan, but Horizon sold much better in the west.

R4: MHW because it's 110M consoles + PC vs 30M consoles.

Round 1A - is the most obvious, imo - MH does NOT have splatoon legs, and it's going to be very close after the first few weeks of sales - so, in the long run, easily Splatoon.

Round 1B - MH. Especially if we count digital, otherwise, it's close.


Round 2A - Splatoon, I think, by a small margin. Again, I don't think MH has comparable legs, and it's currently close.

Round 2B - I don't know, about equal.


Round 3 - I'd go with MH

R4 - If digital/PC is included, MH wins, I think, should still be close. Only taking physical, or only taking console sales, I'd say Zelda.



Bet with PeH: 

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

 

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

MHW can beat all of them if it explodes on PC. But the layout of this is quite confusing to comment more.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being close, though. Nintendo games have crazy legs. As the Switch improves it's install base I don't know if Splatoon 2 will maintain being a top priority or not. But I wouldn't be surprised if they both ended up being very close. 

I actually think this is way harder than people are making it out to be. Specifically Splatoon 2 vs. Monster Hunter World. Well done OP.
