Amazing second week for Monster Hunter and PS4 hardware is being on fire!!!

Dragonall FighterZ opening is alright imo, not a bad number but I really hoped for a slightly higher number.

splatoon 2 is under DQ11 by 1.25mil at max. (Retail)

I still wonder if itll surpass it by years end

DQ had many spin offs that got fans to buy a ps4 long before dq11 launched. Mhw did not.. Anybody that looked at this objectively would have seen that .

Thats not true.Not every western game is performing well there and there is no pattern.No reason rdr2 will easily outperform rdr.

There clearly has been an increase in popularity this gen for most western games. Have you not followed this thread this gen?

There is also a difference betwenn there being a trend and being a garanteed seller.We can expect an increase, but three times over the first game is not a garantee.

Even then your numbers dont seem accurate.

Because there hasn't been a home console Monster Hunter since the PS2 days and the console scene in Japan was very different back then.

XC2 had digital and shipment by years end at 260k in Japan. Since the game is sold out the left over was mostly digital. Game will be 300k+ lifetime easily as its getting stock now
