Zelda at 7.5m sold through. With 1.5m on WiiU, matching TP GC sales no less. This is a nice piece of info.

Say the ratio of shipped/sold is about the same with both versions of BotW, then the WiiU version probably shipped around 1.7m. This with the Switch version's shipment of 6.7m means it's now at a total of 8.4m shipped. In any case it's extremely close to topping TP now. In just 10 months. I think I'm tearing up a little. I'll have a little personal celebration when I see a 10.0 behind it's name. It would be well deserved after all these decades of excellence.

And then Mario obviously, don't even need to talk about it anymore. It's sales in just 3 months are completely ridiculous.

If these are the numbers of the games in less than a year, how much can they reach at the end of the Switch's lifespam? How much can Pokemon reach?

That's pretty weird. Splatoon 2 has passed the original in sell-through at 4.5 million, but both games have shipments of 4.91 million. Does that mean Splatoon 2 actually has less copies in transit than OG Splatoon, even though Splatoon 2 is still selling?

Are you including Wii U sales in your 10-12 million for BotW? Just last week you said you were expecting Switch sales to be at 7 million by this point, but it's actually at 6. Yet it appears you've increased your lifetime projection to 12 million?

Cart shortage? Maybe? All Switch games have been supply constrained in japan for all of january as well, so that's wierd as well.

so, that means: BOTW will the best selling zelda game ever. Odyssey will be the best selling 3D mario ever. MarioKart 8-D will outsell the original on WiiU, as well as Mariokart 7, the best-selling 3DS game. Splatoon 2 is gonna at least double splatoon 1 in sales, if not triple it. There is also a good chance smash and animal crossing have their bestselling title ever on switch. Pokemon could possibly cross 20 million for the first time since gold/silver. Safe to say Ninty is back in full force.



Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

What basis do you have to claim that a Splatooon 2 going to sell twice what it did in its first six months?
