3d world, Mario party 10, smash bros 4, super mario maker then and switch will have all wii u best/fun games with also portable gaming mode wow, hence I won't need to spend money for a used wiiu, save them for switch instead.
Nintendo port them too, I implore you!

If they are already wasting resources on the irrelevant tropical freeze, it's not a surprise to see Nintendo porting better and actually succesful games.

Let's suggest that Nintendo has nothing new to offer outside of what has already been announced.

Let's suggest that Metroid and Pokemon are no shows for 2018 (pretty easy assumption, I think).

And then we have the idea that there are a ton of 3rd party ports releasing on the system. All signs seem to be pointing this direction from Overwatch to GTA.

Isn't this a positive for the system in some way? Doesn't this encourage Nintendo gamers to lay down some money for things non-Nintendo? Aren't there enough quality titles that we all haven't experienced (both Nintendo and non-Nintend gamer alike) to tide us over until 2019?

It seems to me if Nintendo comes out with guns 'ablazin and release 4-5 major Nintendo titles, many of these 3rd party offerings won't have the opportunity to succeed. Afterall, gamers don't have unlimited funds or even time to enjoy every product from their favorite console.

This could be the strategy that helps to realign Nintendo fans with the bountiful offerings of the 3rd parties for the first time since the SNES.

Why make another Mario Kart for the Switch when MK8:D is already selling like pancakes and will probably continue to sell like pancakes for the rest of the generation?  Wouldn't it be better to make another IP that won't cannibalize its sales?  If a racing game needs to be made, why can't the MK team just make an F-Zero game instead?  It would placate a lot of core Nintendo fans and it would give a racing game to people who want to play something more competitive.

Also, why release two Smash games on a single platform?  If Smash 5 is going to come out that late, wouldn't it be better to hold off on it until Nintendo's next platform where it can be used as an exclusive system seller?  Sakurai was adamant about being done with Smash but if they wait and let him make a couple of non-Smash games for the Switch, maybe the time away would make him amicable towards coming back and making Smash 5 for Nintendo's next console.

Well, Wii U gamers maybe, but to most Nintendo gamers their whole line-up is relevant, there's still atleast one 1st Party IP game every month. Still that's an interesting perspective and you're not necessarily wrong, a big reason I got Stardew Valley is the lack of Animal Crossing afterall. I don't think the difference will be too significant though, certainly not while most 3rd party games are ports, but we'll see.

Lol. Metroid is hardly a big gun compared to some other stuff they haven’t released yet.

If this is true, my Switch is going to be collecting a lot of dust. I own everything they could possibly port from Wii U so for me, it would be like they were releasing nothing at all.

By now having the New Super Mario Bros games have "new" in the title might as well be false advertising.
