I didn't pay attention at first but the robot is almost a full VR experience! You have a joy con attached to almost every part of your body (hands, feet, head and torso). Your body is completely synchronized with the robot! I can't wait to see how precisely is the movements in game.
Sounds like an expensive experience, but at least I got 2 friends with a switch, I can borrow from them while they're not using.
.Extra 2 pairs of joy cons. Check

We reap what we sow
I would not compare this to Wii sports or Wii Fit, more like Amiibos, because Fit and Sports opened up markets in all age ranges.
Technically even Amiibos might be more "all ages" than Labo because as we see on here, there's a lot of skepticism about durability and quality when it comes to the adult gamers.
If it catches on in kids realm, it could do quite good....younalsomhave to own a switch to get going, prettnexpensive (te price of eachnpack doesn't bother me too much, but it is not great). Could be a bit of a Youtube hit if it is fun to watch...
How many packs are there? I'll go out on a limb and say 7 million ww for the music and "robot" packs from the nintendo site combined.

Wii is easy to say; Amiibo has a nice flow to it.
Maybe I need to hear people say Labo a bit more; right now, it just isn't clicking.

The correlation is not there and it is wrong. 1, 2 Switch keeps selling because obviously it is something to some people. And if Nintendo wanted it to be Wii Sports, they would have packed it in. Another wrong comparison. As far as foresight goes. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean others don't see it. And we have seen it many times. Over and over and over. Besides, if there was no foresight, then why would any company take any chance with a product like this. Obviously the toys to life genre (which this falls under basically) has proven very popular. So what do you mean no foresight. There is a clear difference between being critical and being overly critical, to the point of being ignorant. And in this regard you are rather oblivious because you should be looking at Amazon's list. This product will most definitely sell. |
There are simply so many things that we simply don't see eye to eye that I think it would be pointless to continue the discussion further and derail the thread even more, as we are clearly well over the OP's scope and well into Nintendo's existential discussion. Time will tell who was right, but untill then Im going back to play Super Mario Odissey on my Switch and waiting for more news regarding MP4.

I wasn't the one who derailed it with WiiU or VIrtual Boy or Wii music. But oh well, you're right in that its pointless to discuss further and time will tell indeed.

Lol that was pretty cool.

Looks like an interesting creative product for kids. Though I have no idea how well it would sell. Wouldn't be surprised if it had decent sales, wouldn't be surprised if it completely flopped.

Didn't Google ship 10 million units of Cardboard VR headsets?
