You felt uncomfortable about doing sexual things, but decided to get his penis wet anyway? Then felt violated because he wanted to have penetrative sex? Yeah that makes a whole lotta of sense.

Yes there are assholes who force themselves on women, but this isn't one of those cases based on what has been told by both parties.

No, the easiest way to avoid this is for the girl to say no or stop when the guy is doing something she doesn't want to do.

Why should she have to say no first, shouldn't he ask first?

Because she is an adult with agency.  It is her job to express clearly what she wants and what she does not want.

Personally I think it's best to just stay eight feet away from this mess. Jesus. 2018 is off to a solid start I guess

i dont know your age but this is clearly an answer by someone who is not used to relationships, but its really socially awkward to ask if you can make a move, you just go with the flow and do it, if someone doesnt want they make it clearly obvious, this aint rocket science its mating, its pretty obvious. she even admits she gives him a blowj** for christ sake.

Regret and sexual assault are not the same. i sometimes while drunk hooked up with girls that im not proud of, and am still made fun of today by my friends(lol)

that only means that i was an idiot.

The problem with the metoo movement is that encourages women to lie. Since these days all it takes is a women feeling bad about a sexual encounter to be considered "rape".

its an easy way for fame and attention for girls with very low self esteem. since they literally have nothing to lose. As a person its very hard to see a woman cry and very sad claiming she was sexually assaulted and not doing anything. i cant imagine if my sister or daughter came to me one day and said that.

The problem with social media is that there is no consequences if you are lying. Thats why i think you should have to go to court(the police) and not make it public we are creating a very dangerous environment.

The biggest problem in this story to me is that this lady genuinely believes she was "raped" or "sexually assaulted" so in the sotry she wrote it genuinely appears to be written without any omission. Any sane person who reads this can see that this wasnt a crime and it was just 2 peoplo who wouldnt work out.

If she wrote this but less detailed and putting more emphasis on feeling very bad while doing it, or even saying she told him to stop but he ignored, no one would have even considered aziz side.

Ok sorry for the rant but i just think we are swimming in dangerous waters

So, if you go to punch someone, instead of asking them for permission first it's on the person getting punched to say they don't want to get punched?

I'm not going to blame the victim here. If she felt it was her right to call him out publicly for this scenario then she must feel pretty strongly about it. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt, because I think that is one of the main messages of this movement more than anything. We must give credence to the allegations and not just slide them under the rug.

That being said, I've known more than a few women who would rather a man be more dominant. They don't want to be asked to be kissed; they want to be kissed. They don't want to ask to be ravaged; they want you to take control and show them you are a man.

Obviously no means no. There's no getting around that and anyone who says otherwise and makes a girl feel guilty for giving him "blue balls" needs to take a quick trip to the bathroom to freshen up or just have the emotional dignity to understand that sex is a consensual event no matter the time or relationship between the partners.

But...you can not deny that stories such as this one make an already uncomfortable grey area that much more prone to awkwardness. I for one don't want some girl blowing up Twitter or Facebook with allegations so I'll steer clear and make sure she makes the first move. It'll be a lonely road, but I'd rather have the happy company of myself than suffer the humiliation of an awkward, misread tryst that results in me being ostracized by my closest friends.

Yeah, it could be awkward, especially in the current social norms where asking explicitly for permission is for some reason seen as undesirable, but it would definitely help reduce the number of instances like this where people get into situations that they're not comfortable with.

Honestly the fastest way to turn off a woman is to act like some kind of Mormon and ask for permission for sex / kissing / holding hand / etc. May as well follow it up with "I'm unemployed and live with my parents" just to really make sure you scare her off.

In all seriousness though, it is getting to the point where it is like why even bother with women anymore? One day soon we will have sex dolls / robots that are close enough to the real thing, and doctors are already toying with the idea of an artificial womb ... will be no need to interact with women at all really when that technology is perfected. There will be strong vocal resistance to both of these things from women for obvious reasons though...

I envy gay men in many ways. They don't have to deal with this nonsense.

Maybe because women are more than just things to have sex with?
