DS was $149 first year, and DS lite was eventually cut to $99

DS was cut to 129.99 within 10 months of europe and us release.

So basically the first year like I said, and you were still wrong about them not ever price cutting the system again.

it got a price cut after it hit 147 million units sold. 10 months is different then first year.

Bottom line, it still got a price cut while you said it never had one. You also said it went on to sell 155m at $129 which is all kinds of wrong considering DSI and DSI XL did not sell at $129 and were also a huge chunk of total sales.

2nd, 10 months is basically the first year, and covers portions of two different fiscal years.

doesn't really matter DS did  over 140 million at 129.99$ thats the main point, so 3ds getting a price didnt mean it couldn't keep on selling amazing,  thats a excuse that makes no sense.

Still wrong, DSI and DSI XL account for 41 million of DS total sales. The original fat DS sold around 6m before it was discounted to 129.

Anyhoo, whether or not 3DS was discounted or not, you still haven't proven why you think it's comparable to Switch in any way other than being a Nintendo product. Their respective launches have no parallels...

Both Switch Models are out of Stock with the Neon set not having a release date. How are we back to stock issues in such a quiet month?

MH World is sold out on Amazon.uk too

3DS and switch are selling very close to to each other at the moment. in fact 3ds will out ship switch in the next earning report.

You worry too much

The gray system is not as popular as the Neon one, so many wait for the latter to come back. In the meanwhile the gray one is slowly rising in the charts again.

I'd acually be more concerned over the PS4. Monster Hunter World and Dragonball Figher Z are about to be released and it's still trailing behind both Switch models? Shouldn't it be much higher with such anticipated releases?

ps4 is at 76 million shipped, its been selling great for years now, nothing to worry about. switch on the other hand is a very unknown, it could easily lose momentum like 3ds.

The same could have been said after the Wii's 4th year, where id did 17M and started to slow down - massively!

Now imagine the PS4 following a similar way after it's 4th year, which just ended. If it did, it could end up not even beating the Wii.

While I doubt this is going to happen, seeing the PS4 trailing in sales behind a console that's out of stock is a sign for me for a certain slowdown, especially considering the releases of MHW and DBFZ today, both acclaimed by fans and press, which should bolster the sales significantly, yet it's not nearly as high as it should be

why are you comparing ps4 to wii, PS consoles always sale great, and have huge legs, while wii was a fad, like kinect, while kinect was a much shorter fad that got in the motion controls game late, there is no comparison every ps console has legs, and his built around the same foundation, strong third party, and first party support.

as for the amazon rankings you are putting way to much stock into that, switch destroyed xbox on amazon in december, yet xbox was very close in sales, wait till NPD.
