2nd, 10 months is basically the first year, and covers portions of two different fiscal years. 

doesn't really matter DS did  over 140 million at 129.99$ thats the main point, so 3ds getting a price didnt mean it couldn't keep on selling amazing,  thats a excuse that makes no sense.

Still wrong, DSI and DSI XL account for 41 million of DS total sales. The original fat DS sold around 6m before it was discounted to 129.

 

Anyhoo, whether or not 3DS was discounted or not, you still haven't proven why you think it's comparable to Switch in any way other than being a Nintendo product. Their respective launches have no parallels...
