Sony's on a dead end graphics path, Nintendo only cares about gameplay. Once power only results in better graphics instead of better gameplay, Nintendo will have won. Sony's fighting a losing battle and VR won't save them especially when Nintendo has a back catalogue of VR games that Sony can't compete with.

A back catalogue of VR games? Like the Virtual Boy? Yeah, that's going to be huge in the future...

Is that the same portable that led to Sony leaving the portable market? This is kind of my point. Sony can only attack top down but Nintendo can attack from beneath and top down if they choose. Nintendo is also capable of attacking from the side (Wii v PS3/360). If Nintendo was EA or Activision, Sony might stand a chance but Nintendo is staying in the dedicated hardware  market come what may. Sony will leave the second they see bigger profits elsewhere.

It's just a matter of time.

Ps vita selling slightly less shit than Wii U isn't impressive by any stretch of the imagination. They barely outsold a console which was a disaster in every way conceivable.

SNES Mini will probably sell more than WiiU, WiiU success had nothing to do with Sony unlike 3DS kicking Sony out of the handheld arena.

It was indeed! Still an achievement though, considering that both launched in the same year, were the same price, and the Vita lacked support.

The Wii U wasn't a disaster though - it was the console that the Wii should've been.

Its poor sales show that Nintendo rely too heavily on casual appeal and gimmicks.
