i would say Xenoblade 2, but im still playing that. so until i can offer fair judgement on it, I will say Splatoon 2. it felt like there was no transition going from Splatoon to Splatoon 2, it really just felt like the game got an update and i kept playing the original. the gameplay is still fun and inventive, i love Salmon Run, and from the pool of Switch games we have right now, it is easily one of the best

I just bought this game yesterday, but it feels really... unpolished to me. I am absolutely nowhere yet, so this is a super early observation, but I've noticed a typo already, and the game itself is sort of blurry from the scaled resolution, and sometimes the physics are a bit wonky after jumping.

This doesn't mean it isn't a contender for game of the year, as I have played very little of the game so far, and it's nowhere near Skyrim levels of bugginess.

I guess the reason I point this out is because I haven't heard people bring this up, so I didn't know if it's something that only I'm noticing.

Splatoon 2 is probably my pick from the Switch games I've played this year besides BotW and SMO.

I have yet to finish XC2 so excluding that game as of right now.

My answer would be Steamworld Dig 2. Love that game.

I´d say Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

That´s a huge, well-made game.

i have noticed these things, but remember that the original Xenoblade was a polygonal mess if you want to talk about it graphics-wise. ive been enjoying it purely based the gameplay, which begins to feel a lot more refined and user friendly than the past 2 games very quickly. and if you can just learn to focus on that, you will quickly not even notice the distortions

Well the only other one I played was SteamWorld Dig 2, so that

Gotta pick Xenoblade 2 on this one with my live of anime style RPG's.

Puyo Puyo Tetris!!! No doubt!!!

At the moment, it's a tough call between Splatoon 2 and Xenoblade 2 for me; though I'm only on Chapter 4 of the latter so it still has a chance to pull ahead decisively.

I still have finish Zelda. I needed a break from it a few months ago, still have to go back and finish it. It's all that i've played on my Switch, so far. I have too much stuff i need to play on my PS4.
