I’ll check out God of War. Couldn’t care less about most of the rest.

Nope. Play plenty of western games. I only mentioned early 2018 games and they just happen to be Japanese. My sig has a link to all my games. It's a mix of both. I recenty got Nex Machina from LRG. Of just the physical PS4 games I own that are western are in no real order. Abzu, RiME, Journey CE, Brothers a Tale of Two Sons, Mortal Kombat XL, Wonderboy The Dragon's Trap, Night Trap, Nex Machina, Matterfall, Wipeout Omega, Undertale, Battle Chasers, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Diablo III, Dragon Age Inquisition ,Ghost Blade HD,Sine Mora EX.

No, it wasn't. It was a proprietary engine. Yoshi 2018 is made with UE4, however. Yoshi is the only announced game Nintendo is using UE4.
Personally, I don't agree. Only Ni No Kuni II is appealing to me. As for the list in general, I still have my doubts on certain games, like Detroit, Dreams, Days Gone and Concrete Genie. I think there needs to be more games on the list before I'd consider the PS4's 2018 line up to be considered great.

And no way IMO. GoW to me looks bad, but I'll buy it in the bargain bin along with Ni No Kuni 2, and Spiderman. The rest are blah to me.

That list seems kinda underwhelming. I'm pretty sure Playstation had some better years.

Except Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep (and X Back Cover) is original and exclusively in 2.8, which is only on PS4. Also, KH 1.5+2.5 on PS4 contains a new cutscene that isn't in the PS3 version and to go even further...in the DS release of a certain game. Your statement has been destroyed. KH is a reason to buy a PS4 since the whole series is on it.

And I believe this is the first time we’ve been able to play kingdom hearts At 60fps. It’s always been 30 to my knowledge.

Soul Calibur 6
Kingdom hearts 3
Yakuza 6
God of war
Ace combat 7
Those games alone regardless if exclusive or otherwise, are gonna be some of the best games of next year.
