Main or not is irrelevant.  You can't discount that discount.

And do you have a link to $100 off for Switch in Australia?

It’s irrelevant? How so? The fact remains that the PS4 never got discounted in its first year or first 4 months.

Not sure why you’re asking for a link - don’t believe me?

So a company offers a store wide discount for spending and you take it switch discount. You really are reaching today.

Uh no. It was a discount plain and simple. And other companies price match too.

Switch is kicking some serious ass and some people are mad about that. hahahahahahahahah.

The amount of damage control in this thread by some types is astounding.

Japan is becoming irrelevant? When? How? Since when did UK (my own country) overtake Japan??

For home consoles? Japan has been becoming irrelevant for years now with consoles declining a lot over the past generations. Even Sony doesn’t make purely Japanese games anymore.

And I’m pretty sure UK sells more games relevant to the western market than Japan in proportion to population size. VGC says 27M games sold in the UK vs 40.5M in Japan in 2016. That game sold per head is already largely in favour of the UK before factoring digital.

Someone beat me to the punch. Japan is still, by far, buying more hardware and software compared to the UK. Besides, both Nintendo and Sony are Japan based companies. That fact alone will always make Japan infinitely more important than the UK.

Don't worry some people are not as good as reaching as you are. I applaud you, personally I didn't  think you could top something not selling out because scalpers are selling them statement from last month, but you did. Have a gold star you earned it.

Are you serious?  The $100 off is for any purchases over $400 if you used an American Express card.  The console was still $369.

You are so hell bent looking for anything negative on Nintendo and Switch you completely failed to read any bit of that link.

What are you talking about? Where does it say $100 for any purchases over $400? You’re killing me here. The Switch’s price is usually $469. The  discount was $100. He added SMO which was $67. He then used the Amex discount to further reduce the price to $336.

You are hilarious - so hell bent on defending the discount that you didn’t even read properly.

Again - the actual price is $469.

UK is the 3rd largest market, right?

Sony is a Japanese based company but the game studios are based in the west. The head of Sony Japan Studio is western, the PS4 designer is western. Software sales, on consoles, surely the UK software sales are higher.

I believe so

1. US

2. Japan

3. UK

Not sure what comes after that, perhaps France & Germany?
