So irrelevant switxh doing so well it bothers the hell out of you?

I’m just commenting that it seems that the stock issues are over. Clearly you can find a Switch easily in Japan. Does it bother you that I said that? Sales in Japan doesn’t bother me as we both know that the PS4 is outselling it worldwide.

Lol no you can’t, Nintendo just shipped more this week

So ... it did hit 3+ million already? Thought so. Miyamotoo's comment confused me!

Correct. 3ds is beating switch at this point in time.

Welp, fuck me! I thought the 3DS line was the Switch line

Huh? How is that? It was also the right move for Sony to cede the handheld market to Nintendo. Both companies are focusing on their strengths which means they'll both prosper.

Because the Switch is not a handheld, its a hybrid. And then it will start all that discussion about if it is or not.Just let it re4st.

You see, his tactic is to de-legitimize the Switch as real competition to the PS4 by calling it a handheld only. That's a new tactic by Nintendo haters.

Ps4 as well as every other system excliding snes classic is being affected by switch. Sales arent nicely up. 3ds and ps4 had good first 3 quarter's then they both fell horribly during this one.

Anything sony related you spin into a positive meanwhile something like pokemon (past week) you bad mouth. Ps4 isnt doing horrible but lets not act like its doing as well as you make it out to be!

Pokemon is doing just average. Nothing special. Big second week drop on MC like I expected.

*You dont kno how pokemon sales work. Your not into it, its a third version akin to Yellow/Crystal/Emerald/Platinum and to some extent BW2. First week sales were good. Opened higher than all of those games. Ltd is questionable though

Ps4 had a big Q3 because of software. Q4 this year there's been no reason for it to be up over last year. Switch was out on both Q3 and Q4 and it's having no bearing on either.

*Switch is eating everyone's lunch. Holidays its all about getting a switch. All money is going to nintendo. Its affecting ps4. (With everything else)

Last Q4 ps4 had ps4 slim + price cut, ps4 pro and FFXV. Why would it be anywhere near that this Q4? Saying it's because off the switch is just ludicrous.

*You and many people (included myself) thought ps4 would be up YoY. You were even bragging before how it could potientially hit 2mil (and be its peak)

Fact is 2017 overall is up nicely over 2016. It will be the biggest year for a PlayStation home console since the ps2 days. But yeah switch is eating it's sales LOL.

*Its not up overall nicely. This is where your cheering goes into affect. When people are using there money for nintendo products and not sonys then its "eating its lunch"

Of course it bothers him. Why else would he get wound up every week and feel the need to respond to every single one of these comments.

Because its hard to ignore horrible post from him and yourself. Its like its easy to catch people. You both do a great job at that lol. At least switch is in a better position then 3ds every was. So its a win for nintendo

Looks like the shortage is well and truly over.

Except it's still sold out in Japan ;)

But I get the point, it's nice Nintendo is able to better keep up with demand in Japan, it has certainly been far worse before.

It’s not in stock in stores so where did 175,000 get their Switch from?

At least Kerotan and Law are consistent in the different regions they post, Someone like Tbone is curiously absent in the UK threads every week because he can't make the same fiery arguments (outside the proverbial Nintendo is weak in the UK) I always find him throwing here in Japan. Maybe that should be the mantra for Playstation and Japan. Its sales are not up to snuff because Japan is their weakest market...and call it a day.

The interesting part here is "what will japanese 3rd party do?" Smaller Traditionally ps4/vita/PC devs like idea factory will probably jump en masse to switch, maybe in a couple years will not even bother with a ps4 version. And bigger devs would be stupid not to at least make games for it. In fact I could see the next dragon quest going switch EXCLUSIVE because all that really matters for DQ is japanese sales.
And the big thing is if sony starts losing japanese 3rd party exclusivity, its going to be sandwhiched between the xbone S with its 4k blu ray and shared 3rd party, and the switch with ninty titles and all that japanese support even if a lot of it is shared.

Still funny to see comments like these.  Sony is getting their ass kicked in Japan hardware wise, have been since forever YET they are still able to take back Dragon Quest after 10 years; have an exclusive, big budget (ironic) Monster Hunter, it still gets all the Final Fantasy games, still has Kingdom Hearts, Personas...pretty all the major (and minor) Japan 3rd party games, they continue to steal exclusives from Nintendo like Resident Evil Revelations BUTTTTT the switch is going to change all that.  Classic.

Then you top it off with the Xbox S nonsense.

I don't think you are thinking this through much ....

Wii barely outsold the PS3 in Japan. The PS3 had much more capabilities than a Wii. (Also, on a side note, I've heard before that "cutscene movies" that aren't in engine are pretty important to market a game in Japan due to being "flashy", or at least they used to be, and those were way easier to fit on a huge Blu Ray disc than a standard DVD).

On the PS4 the reason why developers stayed on that platform was that there was really no competition. I'd argue the Wii U sold pretty well for what it was, but it was obvious to just about anyone that the PS4 was going to outpace it and quite easily. So big name developers were stuck in a rut, they could go with a dying console on the Wii U, go with the underpowered 3DS, or try to develop games for PS4(often with the benefit of being able to port them to Vita). The answer was quite simple for most, especially when Sony was cutting really obvious deals with a lot of the companies.

To put it in simple terms : The PS4, especially before and at launch, seemed like the only possible savior for big Japanese third party games and possibly home consoles as a whole in Japan.

And yet, we still got Shin Megami Tensei IV & Apocalypse, Etrian Odyssey IV, Untold, Untold 2, V, Persona Q, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Monster Hunter 4 and X/XX, Dragon Quest 10 and 11, and Yo-Kai Watch.

Make no mistake, while a lot of the big and arguably most exciting games came to PS4, that's because there was literally no where else to go. Even then, did those games really sell many PS4's or software in Japan? Honestly ... not really. Those games did not push as much as expected and they're way more important for Western countries than they are for Japan. If Nintendo can convince Japanese third parties to make their big games on Switch, it's pretty much over for PS in Japan.

This is really the first generation where Nintendo stealing the triple A* games from Sony in Japan is obvious. Acting like this is a concurrent thing to downplay Switch's significance isn't helping anything
